Covid Closings & Policies
Academy of Dance Arts has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however ADA cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending the school could increase your risk and your child(ren)'s risk of contracting COVID-19.
I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending the Academy of Dance Arts, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at ADA may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, ADA employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families.
I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)'s attendance at ADA or participation in ADA programs. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the Academy of Dance Arts, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of ADA, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Academy of Dance Arts program.
In order to enter the building, all students, parents, and staff MUST wear a mask.
In the event the studio must close, we will immediately switch to virtual classes. No refunds will be given.
Release of Liability & consent to emergency care
As a participant or as a parent/guardian of participant(s) in Academy Dance Arts programs, I recognize and acknowledge that there are inherent risks of injury in physical activity, and I agree to assume full risk of any injuries, including damages, death or loss which may be caused as a result of participation in any activities connected with Academy of Dance Arts. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims against Academy of Dance Arts, and its owners, faculty, staff and consultants from all claims resulting from participation in a program. In case of accident or sickness, I consent to emergency medical care for my child/myself to be provided by ambulance or hospital personnel.
Dress Code
Dancers must wear form fitting dancewear, and appropriate shoes for all classes. No baggy t-shirts, sweatshirts or sweat pants. Long hair must be groomed off the neck, no long ponytails or braids. Pink ballet slippers for ladies in ballet, black or white slippers for gentlemen. Tan slip on jazz shoes for all jazz classes, lyrical and contemporary classes. Black, low heeled tap shoes for all tap classes. No dangling earrings, necklaces, heavy bracelets or rings allowed.
Visual Representation
Academy of Dance Arts shall have the right and permission to use, publish, and/or reproduce photographs, film, and videotapes taken by any staff member or approved photographer during ADA classes, performances or programs .The Parent(s) or Guardian(s)/Student agrees to allow the Student's photograph, image, to be used by Academy of Dance Arts for use in any publications, promotional materials, marketing, advertising and website, without compensation and without prior notice. Photos are allowed to be taken of students during any open classroom or approved events. Parent(s) or Guardian(s)/Student releases and holds ADA harmless from any liability stemming from the use of the Student's photograph, image.
Also, online (Zoom/Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/social media/internet/websites/blogs/podcast/news) broadcasts and classes (including but not limited to choreography) are the property of Academy of Dance Arts. All work prepared by an employee within the scope of his or her employment is the Academy of Dance Arts.
Payment Policy
All tuition is due on the first of the month, or when registering. You must have a credit/debit card or bank account on file. You may elect to have your payment automatically charged at the beginning of each month. If we do not receive payment by the 15th of the month, your form of payment on file will be charged. You may still pay by physical check, or cash, but we must receive your payment by the 15th, or the form of payment on file will be charged. All credit/debit payments must be submitted online, as there will be limited front desk personnel. No costumes will be released until payment is made in full. Any declined payments or charges will incur a fee of $35.
