Covid-19 Policies
With the current Covid-19 protocols in place for physical distancing, we have the following lesson options:
In-studio and Zoom lessons are both available with an added option of Outdoor Classes on days of fine weather. A mask will be required and physical distance will be maintained as much as possible.
Ocean Opus will ensure that all employees are informed of the best practices to encourage proper hygiene etiquette. Additionally, the necessary products and equipment will be readily available for use in order to follow these best practices.
Students and Teachers must sanitize their hands before entering any designated teaching areas.
Students and Teachers will avoid common greetings, such as handshakes.
Teachers and Students will maintain a distance of 6 feet from one another as much as possible.
Teachers and Students will wear a face mask in their lessons.
Students will only access Ocean Opus for the sliding door in the backyard unless they require the use of the Washroom.
Students can only gain access to the washroom from the House's front door and only are permitted to do so to gain access to the Washroom.
Ocean Opus will pre-screen all Teachers before they start their shift. This pre-screening will be to visually check if the employee/customer displays any symptoms. The provincial health officer of BC and the BC CDC has issued that anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, must self-isolate at home for a minimum of 10 days. This order will be reflected in Ocean Opus' policies.
Students will be sent home immediately if they exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing.
