Attendance
Dance Arts Project's program runs similarly to the ten-month school year schedule--classes begin in September and run through June. We offer dance camps during the summer, as opposed to regular classes. The Studio is closed for the entire month of August.
Regular attendance helps each dancer progress. Inevitably, dancers must miss a class, but we encourage each dancer to "make up" missed classes in a class of the same level or lower. Too many missed classes following February 1st can affect show participation.
Only enrolled students may participate in class. Parents are not able to watch except on designated visit days.
Payment Policy
Advance payment is required for all classes. Only one account and one credit card per student family. Tuition fees are paid on a monthly basis and are processed via the payment method on file on the 10th day of each month from September through June. The final deduction will occur on June 10th. Payment must be made by pre-authorized automatic monthly payment. There is a $30.00 fee for declined automatic payments. Sibling discount is 10% off total bill.
There are no tuition refunds nor may classes be prorated. If a student misses more than one month of attendance consecutively, without notice, they will be considered dropped from class and registration fees will apply to return to class. Tuition payment holds the student's place in class. Please notify the Director to formally drop class.
Liability Policy
Dance Arts Project and its teachers take every precaution but are not responsible for personal injury. Please advise teachers of any physical limitations.
Studio Policies / Placement Policy
Respect: each other, the teachers, and yourselves. Dance Arts Project is a non-competitive dance school where we encourage and respect each other. Any kind of bullying or disrespect will be addressed. Disrespectful behavior can result in a student being dismissed from the school.
Dance Arts Project's program placement is dictated by each student's age until the age of 12. Above age 12, students must meet requirements to progress, and approval of the Director. Student's age is determined at the start of the school year. Please refer to the Dance Arts Project Operational Manual at www.danceartsproject.com for more information, including dance levels, placement, requirements, and dress code.
