Must be worn up at all times for all classes. Students who come to class with hair down will be asked to put it up.
Students are expected to be ready to dance 5 minutes before their scheduled dance class. Please do not leave your children any earlier than this as supervision cannot be provided. Parents are expected to pick up their children on time. If your child is late, please have them enter the studio ready to dance with their shoes and outfit already on to produce the least amount of distraction.
Observing classes can be a distraction for dancers and teachers alike.
Teachers will open their doors and invite interested observers to come in and watch when they wish. This is your chance to see, firsthand, what the classroom experience is like for your child.
All we ask is that you please...
Wait outside the classroom until invited in
Do not disrupt the class
Do not bring infants or other children
Do not shout instructions or distract your child in any way
If you wish to view a class outside of these times, please make special arrangements with the instructor
Krush Dance posts all information on the bulletin board at the Hub outside of Studio 3. Also, on our Krush FaceBook page. We work hard to make the dance experience organized and fun. Keeping you informed is one of our primary goals. Please read all newsletters and other information.
Performances are an exciting part of our program! All our dancers will have opportunities to perform at December and in our April Recitals.
Our Recitals take place at the Hub and admission is $3 per person. Most dancers participate in two shows this day with the opportunity to purchase a DVD of the performances.
These performances are an important aspect of dance training includes learning through performance. Our recital offers students a professionally directed performance that allows them to present the results of a year's hard work, dedication, and progress. More information on our recital will be sent home in November and March. Performance updates will be posted on the Krush Facebook page.
There may be a possibility of classes being cancelled due to circumstances out of my control. In the event this should happen, an announcement will be posted on Krush's Facebook page or on the studio line by 2 p.m. the day of. To alleviate it taking all day to call the students, I ask that if you are unsure you check Facebook or give me a call or text (403) 391-1148. The class will be made up at the earliest convenience.
Please no outside shoes, chewing gum, or food allowed in the studio. Water only.
Note**Please keep in mind that Krush Dance Company offers recreational dance classes and does not participate in competition. I believe each child has the potential to grow as a dancer without the added cost, pressure and time involved with competition. I truly believe in developing good self esteem, a love for dance, wonderful friendships and a sense of accomplishment for each of the students. If you are interested in a competitive studio and are unsure where to take them, I would be happy to help you find one in the area. I believe in a positive environment without judgement from peers, teachers, and/or parents. I will not tolerate negativity and gossip towards myself, the instructors, other dancers and/or parents. If you have a concern or comment, simply talk to me and we will resolve it. I thank you in advance for your understanding in this
