Release of Liability
In consideration of our participation in the classes given by Belle Studio, LLC, I do hereby for myself and/or my child release and discharge Meagan Cooper and all personnel thereof from any and all liability, claims or damages, demands, actions, injuries, or whatsoever in any manner arising or growing out of our participation with or in any of the classes or events offered by Belle Studio LLC. I attest and verify that I have full knowledge of the risks involved in exercise and we are physically fit and able to participate without endangering our health.
Medical Emergencies
I assume the risk associated with dance instruction and classes and agree that Belle Studio LLC and all personnel thereof shall not be liable in any way for any injuries sustained while attending the studio or any of its related functions. I hereby grant permission to Meagan Cooper or other personnel of Belle Studio LLC to authorize hospital admission and medical, surgical and emergency treatment in the case that the parent, spouse, or alternate emergency contact cannot be reached.
Registration & Enrollment
The 2020-21 dance year will run from August 24, 2020 - June 5, 2021. Tuition-based class registration will remain open through January 11, 2021, accepting new students for any classes that are not full. Once a class is full, a waiting list will be started. A $40 registration fee per family is due at the time of enrollment.
Dress Code
All dancers must arrive in the appropriate dress for class. Dancers will not be allowed to dance in school or street clothes. Hair must be pulled back and out of the dancer's face at all times. Please label ALL dance shoes, clothing and accessories with the student's name. No jewelry is allowed during class, with the exception of stud earrings.
Preschool - 1st Grade - Pink Ballet Shoes, Black Tap Shoes, Black Jazz Slip on Shoes (not required for preschool), Any color leotard w/ tights
2nd-6th Grade - Pink Ballet Shoes, Black Lace-up Tap Shoes, Black Jazz Slip on Shoes, Any solid color leotard w/ tights or form fitting shorts/leggings
7th-12th Grade - Pink Ballet Shoes, Modern/Lyrical Shoes (aka Twilas) are recommended, Black Lace-up Tap Shoes, Black Jazz Slip on Shoes, Black leotard or dance tank w/ tights or form fitting dance leggings, Hair in bun for ballet
Dance pants are allowed for tap and jazz, but they must be worn over leotard clothing in case they need to be taken off for instruction/corrections so the teacher can see proper body alignment and placement.
Hip Hop - Street clothes and sneakers are allowed for Hip Hop Classes, so long as they allow free movement.
Attendance & Dropping a Class
Good attendance is a must in order to fully benefit from class each week. I will make it a point to have myself or my child(ren) there AND on time. Each class begins with a warm up and it is crucial the student does not miss warming up to avoid injury.
To drop a tuition-based class, notice must be given before the end of the month. No refunds will be issued for any unattended classes for that month.
Discipline & Visitors
Discipline: Belle Studio is an encouraging and uplifting environment, rule breaking or any disrespectful or disruptive behavior will be dealt with by removing the student from the dance room and the student needing to be picked up immediately. We are very big on communication and will work with the parents in trying to find the cause and a solution to the issue.
Visitors: We love parent involvement, but we do ask that you view from the window to avoid interrupting or distracting the class. We want every minute of class to count and even the smallest interruption can take precious time to recover from. We hope to have secure web-viewing in the near future.
Recital
The recital date will be announced as soon as we have the scheduling confirmation from the venue, but you can expect it to be a weekend in late May/early June.
A $35 recital fee is due April 15. This fee helps offset the expenses for the venue rental, props, and so forth. It also allows us to keep the recital free to friends and family without having to charge admission.
Costumes: A $25 costume deposit fee will be due October 15, with any remaining balance due by February 15. Costumes will not be purchased without payment in full. Any costumes paid for after February 15, may incur additional rush order and shipping fees. Should the costume deposit be more than the total due, a credit will be placed on your family account.
Pictures: Picture week will be in April. Purchase of pictures is always optional, but all students must still attend and have their pictures taken with their class.
Payment Policy
Tuition is based on a 9-month/36-week dance year (September-May); therefore, no months are prorated based on the number of classes each month. It is due on the 1st of each month. A $10 late fee will be added to the family account if payment is not received by the 7th of the month. A $25 fee will be charged for any returned check. Once an account is 30-days delinquent, students may not attend classes until the account is made current.
Discounts:
A family discount is given for multiple members of the same household enrolled in tuition-based classes. Full tuition amount is paid for the family member with the highest monthly tuition, then a 10% discount is applied to the remaining family members' classes.
A 10% military discount off tuition is offered with proof of service.
Discounts cannot be combined. The offer with the highest discount will be applied.
Drop-In Classes are not eligible for these discounts as they are discounted separately. The pay as you attend price is $15 per class. Punch cards are available for $60 for 5 drop-in classes of your choice; this basically gives you one free class. You also have the option to enroll for the class and pay a monthly tuition of $40.
Image Release
I hereby grant permission to Belle Studio, LLC to use any image(s) of our family. Such use includes the display, distribution, publication, transmission, or otherwise use of photographs, images, and/or video taken of any of our family members for use in promotional, marketing or educational materials.
I agree that these images may be used by Belle Studio, LLC without further notification. I do understand that last names will not be used in conjunction with video or digital images without prior written consent.
COVID-19 Policy & Procedures
-Our lobby is closed; only students are allowed in the building. Please send your child inside the studio AT the class start time, no earlier. Classes will end five minutes early to allow time to disinfect and prepare for the next class, as well as to avoid the classes passing when entering/leaving the building. Please be visible from the door so your child can be released to you promptly at the end of class.
-Upon entry, students will leave their "outside shoes" in the front lobby area, have their temperature checked, be given hand sanitizer, and then proceed to the correct dance room with their dance shoes. If the class requires sneakers, they will be given instructions when they enter the lobby area.
-Students are required to wear masks until they arrive at their designated dance area, where, if we have the parent/guardian's permission, they can then remove the mask for class. Masks must be worn when not in designated dance areas.
-Students will each be assigned an area in the dance room. All instruction will take place in this area with the exception of across the floor, which has been modified to a minimum. Across the floor will be done in a manner so that no student is taking the same path as the previous student.
-Please bring your own water bottle. Should a student need to use the water dispensers, the instructor will distribute to the student at designated water breaks.
-A staff member will disinfect the bathroom after each use.
-Class sizes are limited to 4-8 students based off of age.
-Signing up in advance for drop-in classes is currently required. Sign ups will close two hours prior to class start time.
-Dance rooms are wiped down and disinfected between each class, and deep cleaned each evening.
-Instructors and staff are required to wear masks at all times.
-Instructors temperatures are checked and recorded before and after each class, and staff upon arrival and departure.
