Once your scheduled lesson time is in place, it is expected that music study takes priority. In the event that you cannot make your regular lesson time, contact the studio directly: email@example.com. With at least 48 hours notice, we may be able to offer an alternate lesson time, but this is not guaranteed. There are two make-up weeks scheduled at the end of the 2019-2020 year where you may attend your regularly scheduled lesson time to account for missed lessons. Makeups will not be given outside of this window, so please plan accordingly. If you or your child are ill, you must cancel your lesson. Refer to 2019-2020 Calendar for studio closings.
There are no make-ups for missed classes. In the event of teacher absence or inclement weather, an alternate class will be offered.
In the event of inclement weather or a teacher cancellation, we will notify you of cancellation via email by noon. No news means that we have not cancelled lessons. Note: We do not follow school closings. If a teacher must cancel a regularly scheduled lesson/class, alternate times will be provided. If the student wishes to discontinue lessons or class, one month's advance written notice is required. There are no refunds. Teacher reserves the right to discontinue lessons/class enrollment based on disruptive behavior, limited progress due to insufficient practice, or failure to meet payment obligations.
All students must have their required books and materials for lessons/classes, to be determined by teacher on a case-by-case basis. All required books and materials are included in tuition cost. It is expected that students have a well-maintained instrument at home with which to practice.
Private lessons (Sept-May/Summer) and Class Tuition includes the cost of lessons or class plus required books and materials, registration, accounting, professional development and affiliations, studio events, and recitals. Tuition is prorated for students joining after session start date.
CLASSES: Payment is due in full at first class.
PRIVATE LESSONS ONLY: You may pay tuition (Sep-May: $1200/30min, $1540/45min, $1880/60min.) annually or quarterly via electronic checking. For quarterly payments, a $5 service fee per family will be applied each quarter and a valid checking account must be saved on file. By agreeing to these terms, you authorize Pleasant Street Music Studio to automatically debit your account on the 1st of the following months: September, November, January, and March. Additional rates apply for in-home lessons ($200/year, $50/quarter). Summer lessons are billed separately. Statements will be delivered electronically to priority email on file (email used to login to parent portal).
10% Family Discount applies to each subsequent tuition or class fee (applied to lesser value item) when family enrolls in more than one lesson or class.
Payments received after the due date will incur a late fee. Also, returned payments will incur a returned payment fee.
