Recreational Costume Fees will not be ordered/charged until January 2020 at $105 per costume per class depending on the current situation
Registration does not included the required class attire, photo day pictures or recital tickets(should a recital take place).
There are are no admin fees added.
HST is added to all fees.
*For returning dancers, once the online registration is completed and approved your promised credit from last season will be applied to your new balance before the payment is processed of $25 per dancer.

Payments will be automatically charged on these dates. These are courtesy installments only and do not reflect the fees apportioned to that period.
Dance fees must be paid in full by the due dates or students will not be permitted in class.

FAMILY DISCOUNTS--A 10% discount is applied to every additional child in the family. The discount is applied to the fees of the student of lesser tuition. The discount is applied on the subtotal after all other discounts and promotions have been applied only on the registration fees and not on the costume fees.
REFERRAL PROGRAM*--We have implemented a referral program for current company members of J'Danse Studio. We truly appreciate these referrals and to say thank you we would like to offer you a $25 credit (no limit on referrals). Bring in a friend today! To receive the $50 referral discount the registrant being referred must be paying the full cost of registration fees and not any pro rated or discounted fees. The referral fee will be adjusted accordingly for any pro rated registration fees to the new student or any discount rates provided to the referring client to $15.00 per referral. Should the family that was referred not pay the full balance by the scheduled term the referral will be revoked from the family that referred the new customer.
Costume fees are in addition to the cost of class tuition fees for recreational and competitive streams unless otherwise specified in writing. These costume costs are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. If costumes are not picked up by the Student on the date specified by J'Danse Studio, than they will be sent back to the manufacturer without refund to the Student or storage fees may apply at $20 per month. Costumes will not be ordered or charged until January 2021 depending on the current health situation.
Recital tickets will be made available for sale for anyone wishing to attend, while supplies last, as well as sold at the door the day of the show if there is availability. Dancers do not require a ticket if they remain backstage. Dancers may watch the show but must purchase a ticket. Ticket costs will be determined at a later date. Recital videos or photos taken by J'Danse Studio and may be provided at an additional cost unless otherwise specified.
COMPETITIVE TEAM:
If you are part of the competitive dance team, you will adhere to and sign the Terms and Conditions herein along with the Competitive Team Handbook and Fees Breakdown and Fees Invoice. Fes and expenses will not be refunded under any circumstance if you withdraw or breach the terms of the "Competitive Team Handbook" or these Terms herein, or engage in conduct that is in any way deemed inappropriate by J'Danse Studio, resulting in dismissal from the J'Danse Studio Competitive Team. In the event that a student chooses not to compete in a specialty routine for any reason that student remains responsible for their own registration fees and expenses and may be responsible for fees and expenses incurred by other team members. By enrolling their child in competitive teams, parents recognize that certain circumstances or policies regarding competitions, for example rescheduling or cancellation policies, are beyond the control of J'Danse Studio. If a competition is cancelled or rescheduled for any reason beyond the control of J'Danse Studio including but not limited to unforeseen circumstance, pandemic, health emergency, or government imposed closures, there will be no refunds or credits on any fees, whether paid or unpaid, or any expenses related to the competitive team including but not limited to tuition, choreography, props, competition entrance fees, costume fees or hotel fees. For greater clarity, while J'Danse Studio will make its best efforts to work with students and families should a competition be rescheduled or cancelled, J'Danse Studio shall not be liable for any losses incurred as a result of the cancellation or rescheduling. The "Competition Team Handbook" forms an integral part of your agreement with J'Danse Studio and dancers on any competitive team must comply with all terms contained therein.
Registration
2646831 Ontario Ltd o/a J'Danse Studio ("J'Danse Studio") and or J'Danse Studio:
By using any services provided by J'Danse Studio, including but not limited to classes, recitals, and other programs, you (or on behalf of your child, as the case may be) ("you" or "the Student") agree to these terms and conditions (the "Terms"), which are a binding agreement between you and J'Danse Studio. All families will be required to physically sign these terms and conditions electronically. If you do not agree to be bound by the Terms, you may not use the Services.
PAYMENTS--Payment must be made in full prior to your first class, or as per the payment schedule indicated at the start of the dance program if one is provided. Full payment is required to be in compliance with the payment schedule or you may be removed from the Services without notice. Fees for Services will be provided to you before you enroll in any Services.
If at any time the Student withdraws from a class for any reason, or a Student is removed from a program as a result of an outstanding balance or behaviour which is found to violate J'Danse Studio's zero-tolerance policy for violence, discrimination, or harassment, payment in full is required for any outstanding balance at the time of withdrawal or removal.
FEES--Registration fees may be prorated depending on when the registration begins upon management approval in writing. There are no refunds or transfer of fees on any payments received by J'Danse Studio including but not limited to the unused portion of a term payment, registration fees, choreography fees, costume fees, competitions fees, rehearsal fees or merchandise purchased.
SCHEDULE--Class times, locations, instructors, and the number of class instructors are subject to change without notice for any or all classes in studio or online.
DISCOUNTS--Discounts or offers may not be combined with any other sale, promotion, discount, code, coupon and/or offer. Other restrictions may apply. Default of any payments for any reason will result in forfeit of any and all discounts provided, and the full original fees will be charged.
CANCELLATION--There will be no credits, refund or makeup classes/events/recital not attended by the participant and/or classes, recitals, events canceled due to reasons including but not limited to inclement weather, personal emergency, health emergencies, pandemics, epidemics, third-party issues with costume delivery, props, ancillary use thereto or necessity, government regulation or mandate or any other reason beyond the control of J'Danse Studio. J'Danse Studio reserves the right to combine or cancel classes, temporarily or permanently, without advance notice, due to emergency circumstances, health emergencies, government regulation, epidemics, pandemics or low enrollment. We also reserve the right in the case of class cancellations to extend the dance season and/or may provide credits for future use if the classes or the season is unable to proceed as scheduled for any reason. If you have confirmed to transfer to another class, you are deemed registered for that class and payment is required in full. Any installment payments are at the discretion of J'Danse Studio and are set out as a courtesy only, and registration fees must be paid in full regardless of withdrawal from classes prior to the end of the season or before a scheduled installment payment. Payment is due in full for any balance owing if there is a withdrawal from any class at that time. All class withdrawals must be done in writing.
STUDIO CLOSURE--Should there be a Government ordered lockdown, government closure or a health & safety risk, all in-studio classes will be moved to our online virtual class platform. In the event this takes place there will be no refunds, credits or make-up classes. The unpaid portion of the the tuition fees will still be due and payable in accordance with the payment scheduled. When it is legally and safe to do so we will return to the in-studio classes.
Studio Information

DRESS CODE--The dress code is strictly enforced. Please refer to our website for exact details. Students are expected to be dressed correctly for every class to ensure proper instruction. Students who are not dressed appropriately for classes will receive a documented warning. After 2(two) warnings, students will be removed from that class. Absolutely no outdoor/street shoes are permitted in the studio. No exceptions. Note: All dance footwear must be approved by the instructors of J'Danse Studio. Due to the current COVID-19 situation students are required to come to the studio in their dance uniform. Dressing rooms are closed and washrooms are not available for changing.

DOOR ACCESS CODES--This digital door code provided to you should be kept confidential and only provided to persons responsible for picking up your child. Unauthorized use or misuse will be monitored and privileges revoked if deemed necessary. This code may change without prior notice. Access to the studio is only granted during regular business hours for classes and times you should be at the studio. Any damages caused by your unauthorized use or sharing of this code will be assessed at the discretion of J'Danse Studio and repaid by the the person causing damage.
HOLIDAYS--The studio is closed in accordance with statutory holidays and follow a similar calendar to the TDSB. The studio is closed for 2 weeks in December and 1 week in March. The studio also follows statutory holidays and is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Halloween, Family Weekend, Easter Weekend, Orthodox Easter, and Victoria Day Weekend. Registration fees have already been adjusted and taken into consideration for these closures accordingly.

COMMUNICATION--Important studio information is distributed and updated on a regular basis. Our main means of communication is via email. Please check for these updates regularly to avoid disappointment. The studio is not responsible for missed information please ensure your email address is correct upon registration.
RECITAL COSTUMES - will not be charged and or ordered until January 2021 depending on the current health situation. Once confirmed they will be added and charged in full at that time.
Staff will follow the costume manufacturers sizing chart when measuring your dancers for the appropriate costume size. Parents will be responsible for any additional alterations needed prior to the recital. The recital costume will be worn at photo day, the recital dress rehearsal and the recital day. Please keep the costumes clean and in a garment bag. Please do not eat with the costume on and they are not to be worn for other than the above.
STUDIO PHOTO WEEK -- Should this be possible the studio will hold a Photo Week from May 3 to 9. This will take place during the scheduled class time. There will be no classes on these dates. Photo packages will then be distributed and can be ordered directly from Edge Imaging Photography. Dance Recital Costumes will be handed out prior to this day. Photos are generally ready approximately 4 to 6 weeks after they are submitted.
DANCE RECITAL-- After the New Year, we will begin teaching your children choreography for the end of year dance recital that they may perform on stage.
This FUN, family event may be held on in June 2021 should we be able to run this event due to health risks and or government orders. It might be outdoors or indoors and may be one day or a multiple day event.
For Creative Dance classes, the Instructor will most likely be on stage with your children, so they feel more comfortable in front of an audience!
Tickets will be sold in advanced online and at the door with more information provided as the date gets closer.
VIEWING CAMERAS - Parents will Parents/guardians will be able to log into the secure online parent portal remotely and access the in studio viewing cameras for their class only during specified class time only that they are registered in. If you are waiting in our parking lot you should be able to access our free guest Wi-Fi. Access may be revoked at any time and as per our privacy policies.
House Keeping Rules
J'Danse Studio is committed to providing excellent dance education in a clean, friendly and family oriented environment. These policies are to ensure that all dancers receive the education they deserve.
STUDIO:
1) No outdoor shoes are allowed in the reception area, parent lobby, hallway, change rooms and studio space. Outside debris can damage the floors and become a safety hazard. Please leave shoes on the shoe racks and feel free to wear the slippers provided in the studio space and return them upon leaving.
2) Change rooms and parents lobby are closed at this time during COVID-19
3) No food, drinks or chewing gum are permitted in the dance studio area (except for plastic/sports water bottles - no glass bottles).
4) Valuables should not be brought into the studio. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
5) The viewing cameras are accessible by logging into the Jackrabbit parent portal and will only be accessible for your specific classes.
6) ONLY Students and Instructors are allowed in the studio (except for Creative Dance Classes).
7) Children who are not dancing may not be left unsupervised at the studio, unless discussed in advance. The staff's attention is on the dancers and cannot be monitoring waiting students.
ATTENDANCE AND ADMIN:
9) In the event of an absence, as a courtesy, parents are required to notify the studio or inform the teacher. Correspondence should be sent via email or the online portal. You can call or make an appointment to discuss the matter in person if it is urgent.
10) During extreme weather conditions, classes may be cancelled and a cancellation message will be emailed to everyone. The message will also be announced on the portal, website, Facebook and Instagram. If you do not have access to internet or email, please advise us so that we can ensure a call is placed.
11) If your child has an injury or special need, it is vital that you notify the teacher so that we can monitor the child during class.
12) Any concerns should be addressed directly with Janie or George. Staff are unable to accommodate lengthy conversations during/between a class. Janie or George will be happy to give you our undivided attention at a scheduled date/time.
13) Please update the portal with any changes in contact information. Please ensure the emergency contact section is completed in your portal in case it is required and kept updated.

ETIQUETTE & CONDUCT:
15) PLEASE DO NOT SPEED in the parking lot. There are kids crossing at all times. Safety is a priority. Please park in the designated spot only. Please do not block entrance ways.
16) Please be considerate with respect to limiting scents in the studio
17) Belongings should be kept in dance bags. Please double check your bag to ensure you have all your belongings before you leave and you don't have someone else's belongings. We do not send emails for lost items. There will no longer be a lost and found available during COVID-19.
18) Please ensure that you are wearing the proper dance attire, including hair in a bun and proper shoes/foot wear for every class. Our dress code has been made available online and will be provided in the Welcome Handbook. Dancers not wearing the proper dance attire may be asked to sit out of class.
19) Students are expected to observe good personal hygiene habits. Ensure dance attire is clean, nails are neatly groomed and that deodorant is used if required.
20) All students should keep their bodies healthy! Proper rest, drink lots water and eat healthy foods for good health and injury prevention.
21) Students are not to leave the studio and enter the reception area during class time unless dismissed by the instructor. Instructors need to know where their students are at all times.
22) Please do not place your feet/shoes/boots up on the chairs to help in minimize wear and tear.
23) Here at J'Danse Studio, we promote that all dancers/parents/guardians treat each other with respect, support and encouragement.

Media/Video Release/Privacy Policy
You provide J'Danse Studio with the non-exclusive, world-wide right to publish any photographs or video footage taken of you or your child while participating in any dance program. J'Danse Studio may use these without limitations or reservations as it relates to the dance studio advertising on any platform including but not necessarily limited to, social media, websites, recital programs, emails, slideshows, and videos. Recitals may be videotaped, provided to parents and published and therefore if you chose not to have your child videotaped they are not permitted to take part in a recital.
SPOT TV Parent Video Release Agreement--I understand that I have enrolled my child or children at J'Danse Studi located at 2105 Midland Ave, Toronto, ON
also referred to herein as the "Childrens ActivityCenter". The Childrens Activity Center has a program whereby web cams are in use and my children are under streaming video surveillance that used for training and management purpose, in addition to, secure accessibility from the web in accordance with the terms and conditions associated with the
Spot TV website (also referred to herein as "Spot TV"). By my signature below, I hereby consent to the photographing of myself and/or my minor child(ren)and the recording of my voice and or that of my child (ren) named above. I agree that I have no rights to any of the video footage or photographs for any reason at any time. I also agree that I will not
screenshot,copy, reproduce, alter, modify, or create derivative works from the Content and Service.
I understand that unauthorized recording, duplication, or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal. I assume full liability of all the terms outlined in this release for any family member's account activity associated with my child or children. Copyrighted work includes all web streaming and video/audio recordings. I understand that legal action can be taken against me by Spot TV or Children's Activity Center for such copy right infringement. I understand that the term "photograph" as used herein encompasses still photographs , audio, and motion picture footage.

Virtual Classes
There is no access to competitive classes online. Dress code is comfortable attire and hair pulled back. After registering for virtual classes please allow 48 hours for the class registration information to be implemented and sent.

I hereby assume all of the risks of my child(ren) and anyone in my household participating in any/all activities associated with virtual dance classes, including by way of example and not limited to, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective reigns as follows:
(A) I waive, release, and discharge from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of my child(ren), for my child(ren)'s death, disability, personal injury, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to my child(ren) during virtual dance classes by the following entities or persons: 2646831 Ontario Ltd o/a J'Danse Studio and/or their directors, contractors, teachers, employees, or volunteers.
(B) Indemnify, hold harmless, and promise not to sue the following entities or persons: 2646831 Ontario Ltd o/a J'Danse Studio and/or their directors, contractors, teachers, employees, or volunteers from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in virtual dance classes, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise. I acknowledge that 2636831 Ontario Ltd o/a J'Danse Studio and their directors, contractors, teachers, employees, or volunteers are not responsible for errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting virtual dance classes on their behalf. I acknowledge that this activity may involve injury. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by jumping, leaping, turning, stretching, or any dance movement, lack of hydration, improper dance floor, and actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, and/or producers of the activity.
I certify that I have read this document and I fully understand its content. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract. I sign it of my own free will.
I certify that my child(ren) and all household members participating are physically fit, have sufficiently prepared or trained for participation in virtual dance classes, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my child(ren)'s and household members participation in virtual dance classes. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by 2646831 Ontario Ltd o/a J'Danse Studio, its directors, contractors, teachers, employees, or volunteers of the activity in which my child may participate, and that it will govern my child(ren)'s actions and responsibilities at virtual dance classes. I permit my child to participate in virtual dance classes.
To ensure safety and security, 2-way video must be maintained at all times for all virtual dance classes.
We ask you to be careful when posting on social media. We can't restrict what you post there, but we expect you to adhere to our confidentiality policies at all times. Absolutely no choreography or class content or instruction of any form should be posted on social media without the prior approval of the instructor and director of 2646831 Ontario Ltd o/a J'Danse Studio. This includes but it is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snap Chat, Twitter, Tik Tok, and other social media platforms.
Covid-19 Guidelines
HEALTH SCREENING -- ALL STUDENTS/PARENTS/STAFF/INDIVIDUALS MUST NOT ATTEND THE STUDIO OR CLASSES IF THEY ARE SICK OR ARE EXHIBITING COVID-19 SYMPTOMS. If a student/staff or anyone in their household is unwell, the student/staff is not permitted to attend class. Studio must be informed if anyone including students and staff will be absent and if you are exhibiting symptoms or have tested positive.
In the fall, students not able to attend will be encouraged to participate or watch classes via Zoom from home.
If the student or anyone in their household have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19:
o Fever (temperature of 38°C or greater) o Worsening of chronic conditions
o New or worsening cough o Chills
o Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing o Headaches o Sore throat/Difficulty swallowing o Croup
o Altered smell or taste o Pink eye
o Nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain o Red/Purple discolouration to hands, fingers,
o Runny nose, or nasal congestion (unrelated to feet and /ortoes, and skin maypeel(Covid-toes) seasonal allergies, post nasal drip etc.) o Increased tiredness/fatigue
o Tiredness/feeling unwell/muscle aches
OR
If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or someone who has developed new respiratory
symptoms, do not enter the facility. Contact your health care provider, Telehealth Ontario (1-866-797-0000), or visit an Assessment Centre for testing. Self-isolate for 14 days (including any members of your household or people you had close contact with from 48 hours before symptoms.)
Complete health screening self-assessment BEFORE leaving to come to the studio each day. Parents MUST be diligent in screening your children prior to leaving for the studio.
PARENTS - IF YOUR CHILD BEGINS TO SHOW ANY SYMPTOMS WHILE AT DANCE, WE WILL ISOLATE THEM IN THE "PARENTS LOBBY" AWAY FROM OTHER STUDENTS & STAFF & NOTIFY YOU TO PICK THEM UP IMMEDIATELY. IF A STAFF MEMBER BECOMES ILL THEY WILL BE ISOLATED AND SENT HOME.
**If car-pooling and one of the dancers has fever or Covid-19 related symptoms, both dancers will be sent home.
MASKS:
Everyone entering and exiting the studio will be required to wear a mask. Dancers must wear masks even though physically distanced and remove only momentarily for a break. Teachers will wear masks while teaching at all times. Dancers and Staff will wear masks when going to the washroom, between classes. Please ensure your dancer knows the proper procedure for putting on/removing a mask. Bringing a backup mask is recommended.
Limited class sizes & studio capacity:
Each studio has a maximum of 8-10 students plus teacher depending on studio size.
Families are not permitted to stay in the facility at this time. One parent/guardian may accompany their dancer to the front entrance of the studio where they would meet a staff member and then leave promptly. A Health questionnaire must be completed online beforehand or at the studio before leaving. Parents must wear masks when picking up/dropping off dancers.
The lobby and waiting area will be closed and unavailable at the present time.
DROP OFF/PICK UP:
A JDS staff member will supervise. Dancers, staff and parents must wear masks during drop off and pick up.
Students age 6 & under may be accompanied into the building by one adult. The parent can assist putting on dance shoes etc. Parents must practice physical distancing during this time and then return to pick them up when class is finished.
Students aged 7 & up are asked to come into the building independently.
o DROP OFF: Dancers will be permitted to enter the facility no earlier than 5 minutes before the start of their class. Please wait in cars until a few minutes before class begins. Arriving, students will line up outside in the patio stone waiting area just outside the front glass doors.
For age 7 & up: Parents should not drive away until your dancer has entered the building. Do not block traffic - parking while you wait is encouraged.
At the entrance all will sanitize their hands. Outdoor shoes will be placed on racks (in lobby for studio B) and near rear exit(for studio A) and student will put on dance shoes, and hand sanitize again before entering. Students will wait on a lobby floor sticker until admitted into class by teacher.
o PICK UP: you will grab your shoes and belongings, hand sanitize and exit
Exit will be through the back door of the building (Cosentino Dr)
One parent will line up along the physical distance line (right of doors) and wait for their dancer to exit studio or parents may park and wait for dancer to exit studio. A staff member will be at the door to ensure each dancer leaves safely.
***It is extremely important that you are punctual picking up students as dancers are not permitted to wait around inside after class is finished***
PHYSICAL DISTANCING:
There will be social distancing markers in the lobby/hall that students will use waiting for class to begin. They must sanitize their hands on the way in. We have created physical distance boxes on the floors in each of our studios, using colourful tape to help guide students. There will also be small taped floor spot for dancers' belongings. Teach box will be numbered and each dancer will be given a corresponding number. They will place belongings on assigned spot and proceed to their own dancing square. Changerooms will be closed.
SCHEDULE:
We have allowed 15 minutes between classes and staggered start/end times where possible to ease the flow of traffic and to allow increased cleaning/sanitization between classes where there is a switchover of students & to assist with reducing the number of people entering/exiting at the same time. Times may be adjusted if needed as guidelines are revised.
INCREASED CLEANING & DISINFECTING:
We will sanitize all common touchpoints and ballet barres or equipment used between each class or group of students. Washrooms will be cleaned and sanitized frequently. Facility will undergo additional cleaning and disinfecting after each day.
Students and parents are encouraged to wipe all items with sanitizer wipes e.g. shoes, water bottle, before & after coming to the studio.
No Lost & Found at this time.
HAND SANITIZING:
Everyone entering and exiting the facility will be required to use hand sanitizer (it will be provided). All must sanitize hands before and after using washroom and before each class. There are stations set up in the main common lobby at the bottom of the main entrance stairs, after entering main entrance near reception desk, rear exit top of the stairs, outside the washrooms and inside each studio.
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR:
See 2020/2021 Dress Code. All students will come dressed, ready for class. No changing between classes. Changeroom is not available. For younger students who may have difficulties with pulling up tights etc. after using the washroom, we have adjusted the attire to make it easier by allowing leggings or shorts.
Students will require a small sanitized dance bag with: dance shoes, water bottle(s), small hand sanitizer & pack of Kleenex, mask(in a lablled bag). Please do not bring anything extra.
Refilling of water bottles is not permitted - bring enough to last for multiple classes if needed.
NO PHYSICAL CONTACT:
Students will not engage in partner work or any deliberate contact (no hand holding, lifts etc). If a teacher needs to have close contact with a dancer to help them for any reason, they will first sanitize their hands and they will already will be wearing a mask. Release of Liability
WAIVER-- In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in J'Danse Studio, its owners, directors, managers, officers, and Janie Koitsis, or Janie Charocopos or George Charocopos or its dance/fitness program(s), related events and activities including but not limited to in class, virtual online classes, off-site classes, competitions or recitals: the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that: The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and, you knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releases or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If however you observe any unusual significant hazard during your presence or participation, you will remove yourself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately, and you, for yourself and on behalf of your heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless J'Danse Studio, their officers, officials, agents, teachers and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct an event ("Releasees"), with respect to any and all injury, disability, illness, death or loss of damage to person or property, whether caused by the negligence of the releases or otherwise.
You confirm that you have read this release of liability and assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms, and that you have given up substantial rights by signing it, and sign it freely and voluntarily without inducement. For participants on minority age (under 18 at the time of registration) you, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the Releasees and, for yourself, your heirs, assigns, and next of kin, you release and agree to indemnify the Releasees from any and all liability incidents to my you or your minor childs involvement or participation in these programs as provided above at the studio or via online dance programs. You also agree to release J'Danse Studio from all liability relating to financial transactions from the following but not limited to the following: studio closures, classes postponements or cancellations, studio event postponements or cancellations, building damage, pandemics, epidemics, civil authority, fire, or vandalism. J'Danse Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property at the studio or during competitions or in preparation for any events.
In case of illness or injury J'Danse Studio will contact the parent/guardian on file, if unavailable we will call the emergency contact. J'Danse Studio will seek medical advice and act accordingly where treatment is deemed necessary. There is risk of injury during participation for in studio, offsite or virtual, and you should contact a medical professional before doing any sort of physical activity.
The studio property should be treated with respect by all students/parents. Damage caused will be assessed at the discretion of J'Danse Studio and charged to you. Please leave all valuables at home. Choreography is owned by J'Danse Studio and the choreographer and may not be copied or reproduced under any circumstances. J'Danse Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property at the studio or off site events, competition or in preparation for any events.
J'Danse Studio adheres to keeping all personal information provided strictly confidential, used only for the direct purpose of the related program(s).
All these terms agreed and adhered to are subject to change without notice.
Dismissal:
J'Danse Studio is committed to maintaining an environment that is safe and respectful for everyone; our shared success depends on it. Accordingly, we do not tolerate discrimination, violence, bullying or harassment of any kind from students or families whether it is directed towards staff, teachers, other students, competition officials, or other competitors or teams. Attitudes that are disrespectful or negative do not have a place at J'Danse Studio. Parents and students will treat each other with respect and will not speak negatively about one another or the instructors. A zero-tolerance policy is in effect for both parents and students at the studio and any complaints of this will be taken seriously. The studio reserves the right, to be exercised at J'Danse Studio's sole discretion, to revoke or cancel the participation or membership and entrance of any parents and/or students if any of the above are observed or violated. Parents and dancers or affiliates will not disparage or denigrate against J'Danse Studio, its owners, staff or other students. Any inappropriate or slanderous remarks about J'Danse Studio or staff members in any way or on any social media, chat group or forum site will be cause for immediate dismissal. By accepting the terms families form the 2019/2020 dance reason accept a $25 credit towards future tuition in the 2020/2021 season only. No refunds will be provided if you are dismissed for any of the above reasons.
Force Majure/Whole Agreement
Neither Party shall be deemed in default of this Agreement to the extent that performance of its obligations or attempts to cure any breach are delayed or prevented by reason of any act of God, severe weather, pandemic, epidemic, fire, natural disaster, war or act of government provided that such party gives the other Party written notice thereof promptly upon discovery thereof and uses its best efforts to cure the delay. In any event the Student must pay for fees and expenditures incurred by J'Danse Studio for events that have been cancelled or delayed for any reason,
WHOLE AGREEMENT -- If any provision of this Agreement is held to be void, invalid, or inoperative, the remaining provisions shall not be affected and shall continue in effect and the invalid provision shall be deemed modified to the least degree necessary to remedy such invalidity.
The failure of either party to partially or fully exercise any right or the waiver by either party of any breach shall not prevent a subsequent exercise of such right or be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other term of this Agreement.
You may not assign your rights or obligations under this Agreement. J'Danse Studio shall have the right to transfer, assign and/or delegate these Terms to one or more third parties without your permission upon the sale or transfer of some or all of its business.
These Terms set forth the entire agreement between the Parties on this subject and supersede all prior negotiations, understandings, and agreements between the Parties concerning the subject matter. No amendment or modification of this Agreement shall be made except by a written document, signed by the Party to be bound thereby.
This Agreement shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada without regard to principles of conflict of laws.
Credit Card Payments/Pre-Authorized/Online Registration
By providing your credit information, you authorize J'Danse Studio to charge your credit card for all related fees including but not limited to tuition fees, competition fees, choreography fees, prop fees, costume fees, transportation fees, and other miscellaneous fees relating to the dance program according to the prescribed payment schedule or according to the agreed upon payment options and to retain your credit card details for future purchases and for verification purposes. The competitive team may only pay fees by cash, cheque or interac transfer. A visa will still remain on file however as a backup and will be charged accordingly if payment is missed.
Payments may accepted in the form of cash/cheque/credit card/interac e-transfer. J'Danse Studio reserves the right to accept or not accept a form of payment as seen necessary or required. A valid credit card is required on file in the online portal. This credit card should be kept updated accordingly. There will be a $55 administrative fee charged for NSF cheques, late payments, or declined credit card payments for any reason and a 2% per month (24% per annum, compounding monthly) charge on late payments. All outstanding amounts uncollectable are issued to a 3rd party collections company. Students must not initiate any chargebacks on a credit card used to pay for any related fees from the portal, and will be charged a fee of 20% of the amount disputed for any chargebacks
It is your responsibility to ensure that credit cards on file are updated regularly to avoid late fees and other penalty charges or cancellation of class registration, enrollment or memberships. You agree to all charges posted in the parents portal which will be charged to the card on file accordingly. Competitive Team Members may only pay fees via cheque or interac e transfer. Any unpaid balances will be charged to the credit card on file automatically.
SIGNATURE
I have read and understand and agree on behalf of myself, my spouse or common law, any parties connected on the online Jackrabbit parent portal my minor child(ren)/ward to be bound by the terms of this agreement and acknowledge that by clicking on all the boxes, inputting my name electronically that it becomes my signature and agreement on the date indicated of which I agreed to these terms.
