Proper dance wear and shoes are required for classes per genre. This enables the teacher to properly observe the students body movements for correct form and technique. Failure to follow the dress code could result in student being asked to sit out of the class. Repeated failure to wear required dance wear could result in termination of lessons.
Hair must be pulled away from the face and absolutely no jewelry, except small ear studs.
A Ballet bun is required for ALL Ballet classes.
Attendance/Tardiness: As in any area of study, attendance is most important. We want our dancers to have every opportunity to "shine" at Recital, so please be aware that students missing too many classes during the year may not perform at their best during Recital.

Holidays
TCDA. is proud to serve students from neighboring school districts. Since our studio is located within Tracy USD, we follow their academic calendar closely regarding student/teacher holidays. TCDA closings will be posted prior to a holiday via chalkboard timelines in studio, monthly newsletter, and website to assist your planning. TCDA observes the following holidays: "Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Spring Break, Easter and Memorial Day.
Parent's Responsibilities
Parents/guardians should make yourself aware of deadlines, activity and financial. Information is easily obtained through any TCDA staff member, chalk board notices, monthly newsletters, website, Facebook & parent notices. Please inform TCDA of any credit card/bank account, address or phone number changes so that we can better serve you and your child.
The well-being of our students and their families is of utmost concern to us. TDCA, cannot be responsible for providing before or after class care for dancers. If you are running a little late, call the studio so we can keep your young dancer indoors.
During times of success and discouragement, parental support is vital. In these days of instant gratification, dance is an art form that requires old fashioned hard work and dedication. The discipline required by dance comes not only from the dancer, but also from his/her parents. Regular attendance in scheduled classes is extremely important. Willing participation and eagerness to take what he/she is given and make it his/her own are qualities that will carry your child through many lessons in life.
