Membership at FINS (payment of the $55 annual membership fee) receives the following benefits:

Make-Up Policy
A top priority at FINS is to provide the best swim lesson experience for everyone. The monthly tuition that families pay reserves a space for each swimmer.
Sometimes life happens and missing a scheduled lesson is unavoidable. The make-up policy is based on maintaining our standards for quality and offering an equal opportunity for each family to get the most from the classes.
-To be eligible for a makeup, an absence must be reported to FINS before the start time of the lesson.
-Each student is allowed one free makeup class per month for an eligible absence.
-There are no makeups for a missed makeup class.
-Makeups can be reserved within the same week that the class was missed.
-Students must be currently enrolled to book a makeup class.
-All makeup classes must be completed prior to the student's last day of enrollment.
-Makeup lessons for students enrolled in our specialty programs are booked into group classes.
-Makeups are based on availability and are not guaranteed.
-Additional makeup classes may be purchased when available for $8 each.
-FINS does NOT offer makeup classes for non-members
Cancellation Policy
For students enrolled in perpetual classes:
-30 day written notice must be given to withdraw from perpetual classes
For students booked in our Term Only Classes such as Summer 2x/wk, Power Sessions, Summer League Prep, 2x/wk Fall and Spring mini sessions:
-These are specialized programs. If for any reason you wish to cancel, you must cancel within 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a credit on your FINS account. No refunds.
There are no cancellations allowed once the session has begun. No refunds will be given.
For non-members booked in private lessons:
-These are booked on an as-needed basis. If for any reason you wish to cancel, you must cancel within 48 hours prior to the start of the private lessons to receive a credit on your FINS account. No refunds.
Facility Policy
-A responsible person listed as a contact on the account must remain in the facility for all students under 13 years of age.
-No customers or students are permitted to go on the pool deck without the assistance of a FINS team member.
-FINS is not responsible for lost or stolen items on the premises.
-Caregivers are responsible for watching children while not in lessons.
-No recording video over one minute in length is permitted without prior consent from a FINS manager.
Double Diaper Policy
-For students not potty trained and/or prone to accidents:
-All students not 100% potty trained must wear double swim diapers (disposable and permanent)
Risk of Illness Policy
I acknowledge, understand, appreciate and agree that my participation may result in possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases, including, but not limited to, MRSA, Influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation and exposure. I hereby release, discharge, and covenant not to sue Fun IN Swimming Inc. or any of its entities, its members, administrators, directors, agents, officers, volunteers, employees, contractors, other participants, any sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of the premises on which the activity takes place, (each considered one of the "RELEASEES" herein) from all liability, claims, demands, losses, damages, on my account caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in party by the negligence of the RELEASEES or otherwise, including negligent rescue operations and further agree that if, despite this release, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk, I or anyone on my behalf, makes a claim against any of the RELEASEES, I will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless each of the RELEASEES from any loss, liability, damage, or cost, which any may incur as the result of such a claim.
Additional Information
-Please update FINS with any specials needs or medical information we might need.
-FINS uses photos and videos recorded during classes for training and marketing purposes.
-FINS will request a release prior to using pictures or videos for publication.
Liability Waiver
-By typing my legal name in the signature area below and checking the box after each section, I agree that I have read and understand all of the FINS policies.
CONSENT/PARENTAL CONSENT I, hereby covenant and promise that I am the minor's parent and/or legal guardian, and on behalf of myself and the minor, understand the nature of swim lessons and related activities and the minor's experience and capabilities and believe the minor to be qualified to participate in such activity. I further understand the risk of exposure to injury and/or infectious diseases, for myself and my child, as a participant, spectator at events, classes or our presence at the facility. I hereby release, discharge, covenant not to sue and AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS each of the RELEASEES from all liability, claims, demands, losses or damages on the minor's or my account caused or alleged to have been caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, including, but not limited to injury, negligent rescue operations, and/or exposure to infectious diseases and I further agree that if, despite this release, I, the minor, or anyone on the minor's behalf makes a claim against any of the above RELEASEES, I WILL DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS each of the RELEASEES from any litigation expenses , attorney fees, loss liability, damage, or coast which any RELEASEE may incur as the result any such claim.
Payment Policy and Automatic Payment Authorization
-A credit/debit card or bank account must be on file for students enrolled in our perpetual classes.
-Lessons will be prorated for students starting a class in the middle of the month or after a session has begun.
-The annual membership fee is due at time of booking and on the families anniversary month.
-I agree that each scheduled charge to my account shall be the same as if I had presented the card in person at a FINS facility.
-I authorize FINS to automatically charge my card/account for perpetual lessons on the 25th of the preceding month.
-I agree the card on file will be charged for the number of lessons in the upcoming month. The number of lessons can vary. Most months have an average of 4 lessons. Some months will have a 5th lesson and some months will have less due to holidays that fall on your regularly scheduled lesson day.
-This authority will remain in effect until I give a 30 day written notification and at which time I will pay any remaining balance on my account.
-I understand that any declined charges from my financial institution will result in a $25.00 fee.
-I understand that if I change the account number or financial institution specified, I will update my payment information via the Parent Portal or by contacting FINS.
-I authorize FINS to charge the card/account on file for my requested services including lessons, registration, makeup fees, or any other charge requested by the customer.
