Payment Policies
Registration Fee: $15.00 per dancer (or $40.00 per Family).
Payment of Fees: Tuition may be paid by Automatic credit card or Cash. NO CKECKS. Electronically debited tuition will be debited from your credit card on the 1st day of each month from October - May. All tuition is NON-FRUNDABLE. All charges will appear on your bank statement as being from Shooting Star Dance Studio.
Late Fees: I hereby agree to pay a $10.00 late fee for account pass due over 10 days of each month.
NSF Payments(Non Significant Funds): I hereby Authorize Shooting Star Dance Studio to electronically debit my account for the amount of any NFS auto-debit transactions plus a $5.00 NSF fee.
Costume Fee: A NON-Refundable deposit of $30.00 will be due by November 30th. The Remaining balance will be due by December 1st. Costume prices may vary depend on the costume picked for the class. Some classes may have 1 or 2 costumes. Costumes prices range from $35.00-$85.00 each.
Withdrawal and Refunds: One-Month notice from the first month is required to discontinue any classes. You will be responsible for the current month of the submission of your withdrawal request. Withdrawal must be submitted in writing and directed to Director of Shooting Star Dance Studio. No withdrawals will be excepted after April 1st. There are NO refunds for missed classes and all tuition is nonrefundable. (The Director may make exception in the case of medical conditions). All automatic credit charges will stop after one-month notice period. Shooting Star Dance Studio reserves the right to terminate lessons to any student without notice. In such a case a refund for unused lessons will be given.
Release of Liability
Care of Students: The studio is not responsible for providing before and after class care for students. Parents with students under the age of 5 are to remain in the studio during classes. Students are not to be left at the studio for excessive time before or after class.
Injuries: Parents, Legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal actions for any injury sustained studio property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class time.
Photo Release: The studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements and other promotional material the studio creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the studio to copyright such photographs in its name.

Extreme Weather or Unexpected Interruption of Classes: If the studio must cancel due to extreme weather or even beyond our control such as severe weather, the class will be made up within the year. Please call the Studio after 3 P.M. that day. There will be a message on the answering machine advising if class is canceled.
Substitutions: The studio reserves the rights to provide a substitute if the regularly teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the studio cannot arrange a substitute, classes will be canceled and made up within the year.
Dance Dress Code: Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Failure to wear required dancewear to class could result in student being asked to sit out the class. Repeated failure to wear required dancewear could result in termination of lessons. Students are not permitted to wear jeans or shoes worn on the street or outdoor, to any dance class For safety reasons dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry. Long hair MUST be tied back and out of face.
Missed Lessons and Make-Up Lessons: Absolutely no make-up lessons will be given for missed lessons. No refunds will be given for missed lessons. School activities such as programs, field trips, sports games, etc; do not qualify for make-up lessons.
Dance Class Attendance and Lateness: The studio reserves the right to have students who come in late 10 minutes or more to class, sit out of the class. Repeated tardiness may result in termination of lesson. A minimum attendance level will be required. If a student misses more than 4 classes without written notice, the studio reserves the rights to terminate lessons. Students missing more than 4 classes after March will not be allowed to participate in the year-end showcase, festival or competition.
Parent's Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events: It is the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian or Adult student to be aware of all studio activities, such as viewing days, recitals, extra classes, and dates the studio is open or closed. The studio will post all such notices on the bulletin board, the white board and web site. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to regularly check these boards to ensure they are informed. It is the responsibility of the parents or adult to inform the studio of any address or telephone number changes.
