Payment Policy
For Fall Enrollment our current special is $39 for a single student & family at $79 enrollment
1. Registration Fee: A $60 non-refundable registration fee per student, maximum $90 per family is due at time of registration for fall classes.
2. First & Last Month's Tuition: August 2020 and June 2021 tuition are due at time of registration. Both months are prorated for ½ months tuition rate.
3. Tuition Fee: Tuition is due by the 1st of each month, no later than the 5th and can be paid via credit card, debit card, check or online through the dance portal. All clients must register for classes through the online dance portal and will be registered for auto pay for e-payment or credit card (debit cards used as credit cards) and accounts will be drafted or charged between the 1st and the 5th of the month, (which include registration fee, tuition, costume, late fee, recital fee, any declined fees, and any other studio or dance related items purchased on the account). After the 5th of the month, a $25 late fee will be charged and enforced on all accounts past due, this also includes e-payment accounts. Late notices will be sent via email. Checks can be made out to: Charlotte Dance Alliance or CDA. Tuition is not pro-rate for absences. It is the account holder's responsibility to log into their portal and update any credit/debit card expiration dates and account number changes. Dancers are encouraged to attend makeup classes for classes missed.
4. Pro-rated Months: August and June are the only prorated months of tuition. June tuition is due when classes are assigned an is non-refundable. September through May will be charged a full month's tuition. Whether the month is short (3 weeks) or long 5 weeks), tuition remains the same. Tuition is not prorated for absences-you are encouraged to attend makeup classes for missed classes.
6. Discounts: Sibling Discounts: The student with the most dance instruction time will pay normal tuition and all siblings receive a 10% discount. There is a $58 registration fee per student with a family cap (for siblings) of $78 in registration fees. Boys Discounts: We give males enrolled in a dance program 50% off tuition. We also honor military, police, veterans, Union County and CMS teacher discounts with proper identification of 10%. Discounts can not be doubled.
Credit Card/Bank Account Authorization Release
I, _________________________________, authorize Charlotte Dance Alliance to use the my bank account or credit card information for all my account billing. I am allowing Charlotte Dance Alliance to clear any and all invoices due to my account on this credit card or bank account (which include registration fee, tuition, costumes, late fee, recital fee, and any other studio or dance or gym related items purchased on my account. I take full responsibility for payment of all charges and understand that a $29 late fee may be applied to my account if my credit card/bank account is declined and cannot be processed for the amount due at that time. This agreement will remain in effect until I notify Charlotte Dance Alliance of my intent to discontinue the use of my charge card/bank account in writing.
Recital
For Summer or Spring Classes the information below does not apply.
1. Recital Fee: $89 per student and ½ payment is due Dec 1st and 2nd ½ due Feb 1st .The recital fee covers the cost of for recital preparation, year end awards, trophies for dance students & metals for gymnastics & dress rehearsals. Recital fees are non-refundable.
2. Opting Out of Recital: A student that wishes to opt out of the recital should submit the request in writing prior to October 1st. If the student has multiple classes and wishes not to participate in the recital, they must opt out of the recital for all of their classes. Students may not pick and choose classes for the recital. Students enrolled in floor gymnastics classes must participate in recital.
3. Costume Fees: Costume amounts are approximate and subject to changes. Change in a student's schedule can result in a change of costume and costume fees. Costume amount includes costume, headpiece/accessories (if necessary). Costumes are due in 2 payments based on the number of hours a week your child dances. The first installment is due Nov 1st and the final installment is due Jan 1st
a. Beginner/Intermediate level Combo classes will perform both tap and ballet numbers in the recital, but will have only one costume. Exception is the 2.5-5 yr old Combo, which will only perform one number.
b. All other classes will have one costume per class style.
c. Class drop/add period ends February 2021. Dancers who wish to change classes after then must purchase an additional costume.

4. Costume Payment Due Date: Costumes are due in 2 payments based on the number of hours a week your child dances. The first installment is due November 1st and the final installment is due January 1st. A late fee will be applied after this date. Deposits toward costume balances may be paid at any time prior to the due date through our online costume manager system. Costume fees are not refundable and costumes cannot be returned for credit.
Withdrawal from Classes
A student wishing to drop all their classes is considered to be withdrawing from the studio. Parents are required to give a 30-day written notice and are responsible for paying 30 days tuition. A student not showing up for classes does not constitute a withdrawal. June's pre-paid tuition will be applied to the 30 days required payment and the remaining balance should be settled at time of withdrawal. If a costume has been purchased for any withdrawn class and the student moves out of town, there is a $49 shipping fee per costume.
Refunds
Charlotte Dance Alliance does not give refunds. This includes but limited to registration fees, costumes, choreography fees, competition fees, recital fees, late fees, etc.
Communication Agreement
Emails will be sent periodically to keep communication open with all parents. Emails should be checked daily. It is advised to set up a folder in your email account to keep all emails from CDA organized for reference. If you have questions that cannot be found through email or visiting our website, please let us know. We email out ALL Important information, post information on our calendar/website and on the lobby bulletin board. We do our part in communicating announcements and leave it to you, the parents to check emails, website and bulletin board. Please check your child's online account accessible through our website www.charlottedancealliance.com or www.dancingcda.com
Time Between Classes
Students should not be left unattended between classes. By initialing here you approve of your dancer being responsible for themselves during any schedule gaps.
Photography Release and Videos including audio recording
I/We ____________ acknowledge that my/our child may be videotaped or photographed for educational or performance purposes as well as advertising for the studio and that any videos may be used or displayed by Charlotte Dance Alliance. I am also aware that Charlotte Dance Alliance is under 24/7 camera surveillance for the safety and well-being of its business and students.
Medical Agreement
The undersigned gives permission to Charlotte Dance Alliance, its owners and operators to seek medical treatment for the participant in the event they are not able to reach a parent or guardian. I hereby declare any physical/mental problems, restrictions, or condition and/or declare the participant to be in good physical and mental health. I request that our doctor/physician ________________ be called and that my child be transported to ______________________ hospital. Please include physicians' phone number _______________. (please ensure that all medical information is updated in portal)
Finacial Responsibility & Release Agreement
*Financial Policy & Release Agreement must be signed by Parent/Legal Guardian in order to be processed into the school.
We the Parents/Legal Guardian & Party Financially Responsible for account of all students listed have read and understand the policies listed above. In signing this agreement, we understand that ALL studio policies will apply to our account. We give permission for our child(ren) to participate in classes at Charlotte Dance Alliance and release the studio, its owner and all employees from any and all liabilities as regards my child. By signing this form, I acknowledge that both parents, guardians, and/or responsible party understand and agree to all the terms listed above. All customers and financially responsible parties are responsible for any and all collection and court cost charged to Charlotte Dance Alliance to collect any past due balances.
Release & Hold Harmless Agreement
As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless Charlotte Dance Alliance, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of Charlotte Dance Alliance (DBA CDA), its owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises.
In addition to those acknowledgements and waivers contained herein above, and in consideration of being allowed to participate in the Charlotte Dance Alliance events, performances, classes, camps, bootcamp and even competition the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:
1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist; and, 2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and, 3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation as regards protection against infectious diseases, including but not limited to Charlotte Dance Alliance Safety Guidelines; and, 4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS ENCORE DCS, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("RELEASEES"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IF FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
