TERM LENGTH AND HOLIDAYS
Full season classes run from September - June and consists of a minimum of 34 classes. Diversity follows the public school calendar. The studio will closed on Labour Day, Thanksgiving Monday, Halloween (pm only), Remembrance Day (am only), Winter Break, Family Day Monday, Spring Break, Good Friday and Saturday, and May Long Weekend. We will be open on Teacher's Conventions. * Session classes run for the scheduled number of classes for that session.
TUITION AND FEES
A non-refundable charge of $25.00 per student or $60 per family (including GST) must be made for full season classes. This will be processed with your September 1st tuition payment. Diversity Dance and Performing Arts holds the right to cancel a class when 6 or fewer students are registered. Tuition and registration fees do not include footwear, dancewear, recital costumes, recital tickets or exam expenses. These are additional costs. * Session Classes ie: Adult classes, Small & Tall classes, or Camps are not charged a registration fee. You will see this fee automatically posted to your account, but it will be deleted before your session payment is charged.
NSF CHARGES
A $25.00 (plus get) fee will be owed to any payments returned NSF, account closed, credit card declined, etc. The payment must be honoured. Students will not be allowed to attend class if they have outstanding or overdue accounts.
ABSENCES
No refunds will be issued for missed classes for any reason. Diversity is not able to put a hold on tuition for vacations or extended absences, and tuition must continue to be paid to keep a child's place in their class. If the teacher cancels a class, it will be rescheduled or made up.
WITHDRAWL
Notification via email must be must be received no later than the 15th day of the month of a student withdrawing from classes. The next month's payment will then be stopped and the student will no longer attend classes. If a full year payment has been made, a refund cheque will be issued. We will not refund partial month payments for any reason, including mandated studio closures. Withdrawal notices must be received by the 15th day of the month or your next month's payment will be automatically be charged. *Once session classes start, refunds will not be issued and withdrawals will not be accepted.
MANDATED CLOSURES OR CHANGES
Diversity Dance and Performing Arts will be closely following all guidelines and recommendations set out by the Alberta Government & Chief Medical Officer of Health Orders. Dance classes will be held in studio unless we are required to close due to extreme circumstances such as government mandated closure, health or safety risks or other reasons beyond our control. A modified schedule or online classes may be offered if necessary. All studio policies will remain in effect and refunds will not be issued. Tuition charges will fairly reflect the modified schedule, online options or closure.
ILLNESS POLICY & WAVER
I understand and agree that I will not send my child to class if they are sick, even if symptoms resemble a mild cold. I understand as a parent/guardian, I am responsible to ensure my child is not presenting any symptoms when they attend and I am responsible for taking preventative measures to protect my child.
Diversity Dance and Performing Arts will have a zero tolerance policy for sending sick or symptomatic dancers to class. I understand that if my child shows symptoms of any illness, they will be isolated until they are picked up by a parent or guardian. I understand it is my responsibility to ensure my child is picked up immediately when notified.
I understand Diversity Dance and Performing Arts Inc has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in accordance with AHS and Government guidelines. However, Diversity Dance and Performing Arts Inc cannot guarantee that you or your child will not be exposed or become infected with Covid-19 or any other illness while attending class or within our studio.
LIABILITY WAVER
I understand that Diversity Dance and Performing Arts Inc, the studio owner and/or teachers will not be held responsible for any accident or injury that may occur on the way to, from, or in the studio, or any activities that take place outside the studio or in our Diversity Virtual Studios programs.
The client assumes all risk of participating in an exercise program and agrees that neither Diversity Dance and Performing Arts Inc nor any of the teachers or staff will be held responsible for any injury, illness or similar difficulty that may result from the use of this or any program with Diversity Dance and Performing Arts Inc.
Diversity Virtual Studios - Always be aware of your surroundings before beginning use. In participating in Diversity Dance and Performing Arts Inc's online zoom program, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for use at all times. Because serious injuries may occur, clear an area for safe use before using these services.
Parents/guardians are responsible for supervision during the Diversity Virtual Studios or any virtual program through Diversity Dance and Performing Arts Inc. No child should be left unattended for any length of time. Parents and/or guardians are responsible to help their child if they need assistance that the teacher cannot provide.
PHOTO AND MEDIA RELEASE
Diversity Dance and Performing Arts has permission to use and reproduce my child's photo in print, video or electronic format for promotional and/or publicity purposes. This includes the Diversity website, social media and printed materials. I understand this is without payment or compensation. I wave the right to inspect or approve the finished product where the photo or video appears. *IF YOU DISAGREE PLEASE CONTACT US! We respect your dancer's privacy and can ensure their photo is not used or released.
