Registration
Non-refundable fee of $35 per student or $50 family membership is required yearly at time of registration.
Policy Pages are updated on a yearly basis and signatures will transfer.
Tuition & Fees
Tuition is non-refundable after registering for classes.
Trial fees are non refundable and if private class trial is missed it will be re-charged as we pay our teachers.
All payment must be made by pre-authorized automatic monthly payment.
Tuition must be paid by automatic bank account debit or automatic credit card payment on the 1st day of each month.
Delinquent accounts be charged a $20.00 late fee on the 10th of the month and sent to collections on the 15th.
Cash is never accepted.
Withdrawal & Discontinuation
To discontinue lessons the proper withdrawal form must be filled out with parent/guardian signature.
If freezing the account billing will resume the 1st of the month that you resume classes and is non refundable. A $5 freeze fee will be collected each month and credited onto the account as class credit. This is non-refundable.
After submitting your notice for a withdrawal or account freeze, there will be 5 remaining lessons for the student before the account change takes effect.
For forms to be considered completed, there must be a parent signature by the time of the Last Lesson Date, otherwise tuition will continue to be charged.
Musical Theatre Program
This program is an on-going class that is billed monthly on the 1st of each month, like our normal tuition.
Students must stay enrolled for the entire length of the current theme up until the performance.
If a student is not wanting to participate in the next theme, a 5 lesson notice must be given (and must follow all above policies. See "Withdrawals & Discontinuations" section).
Participation in the final performance is mandatory.
Substitutions | Teacher’s Employment | Closed Classes
The school will provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes.
If a teacher is gone and the studio cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be made up and lesson must be made up with the calendar year that they are missed.
If a teacher's employment is changing, we will provide your child with a new teacher.
If a music or dance class is closed out due to lower enrollments we can enroll the student into another music or dance class.
Closings | Extreme Weather | Unexpected Interruption of Clas
If your lesson falls on a Holiday you are still charged for the lesson, however, you will be allowed a make up lesson and rescheduled.
If the school must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control, the missed lessons will be made up and rescheduled. We follow OPS School Closings and their after school activities. If they are closed, we are closed.
No refunds will be given for lessons missed due to these reasons.
OSMD Company - Star Elite performing group
The student must stay enrolled in Star Elite AND their secondary performing group class for the entirety of the season which is September through July.
If the student is not wanting to continue for the next performance season, a 5 lesson notice must be given (and must follow all above policies. See "Withdrawals & Discontinuation" section)
Missed Private Music Lessons or Classes
Private Music Lessons & Classes- Absolutely NO make-up lessons will be given for missed lessons or vacations.
LessonMate online lessons will be provided for any lesson missed by a student.
Private Dance Lessons- Students can attend a group class to make up for missed private lessons.
Group Lessons & Classes- Students can attend another class to make up for a missed class.

Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes.
Any costumes, t-shirts, etc. that are not picked up within 30 days after the event will be donated. Costume fees are non-refundable, even if the costume is not picked up within 30 days of the event and costume is donated.
Recital costume fees, Performance fees, and Camp fees are charged to your account and are non refundable.
Parent Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events
-Parents are responsible for knowing dates of upcoming billing, recitals, events and updates.
-This information will be provided via email, newsletter, or posted in the facility.
-Parents are responsible to make sure they are receiving emails from Omaha School of Music and Dance.
-Parents are responsible for all address, phone, email changes to your account.
Photo Release, Injuries, Care of Student
-I hereby grant Omaha School of Music and Dance to take videos and pictures at studio events and recitals.
-Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class time.
-The school is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students.
-Parents with students under the age of 6 are to remain in the school during classes & students are not to be left at the school for excessive time before or after class.
