GENERAL (applies to all classes/lessons):
A place in the class has been reserved for you and others may have been turned away for that space - please take care in scheduling other activities so that they do not conflict with your scheduled class as NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS WILL BE GIVEN FOR MISSED CLASSES/LESSONS.
A withdrawal from a class affects not only the student involved but also the rest of the students in the class therefore cancellations must be received before classes begin (see exception for Private Lessons noted below). Refunds are only provided in exceptional circumstances (reasons of moving or extended illness may qualify). Notice of withdrawal from any class/lesson must be received in writing. Registration fees are non-refundable.
You may attend a makeup class if a space is available and ONLY if you have scheduled your absence IN ADVANCE as noted below. Private lesson and Safari absences & makeups are scheduled only through the Student Portal. Please contact the Studio directly to schedule absences & makeups for Music Pups, Music Cats, and Music Adventures classes.
Any class canceled due to inclement weather or teacher illness will be re-scheduled or refunded.
MUSIC PUPS®/MUSIC CATS®/MUSIC ADVENTURES: If you are unable to attend your regular class, and if you scheduled your absence BEFORE it occurred, you may attend a makeup class if one is available.
KEYBOARD ADVENTURES: THE SAFARI: If you are unable to attend your Junior, Intermediate, Senior, or Advanced class, please review your assignment page (emailed directly each week) to ensure that you know what was covered and contact your teacher with any questions. If at least 24 hours advance notice of an absence is given through the Student Portal, the 'makeup credit' received may be used to book a makeup through the Student Portal. Should you choose to withdraw before lessons begin there may be a charge to cover costs associated including returning your materials to the supplier. Students registered in The Safari™ are expected to complete the entire year. There are no refunds after the first 4 weeks of classes. Families new to the program are required to attend an orientation before classes begin.
PRIVATE LESSONS: If you are unable to attend a scheduled Private Lesson and provide at least 24 hours advance notice of the absence through the Student Portal, you may use the 'makeup credit' received to book a makeup through the Student Portal. Please note that WE DO NOT GUARANTEE MAKEUPS as they are subject to availability. Four-weeks notice must be given to withdraw from private lessons. Please note that 4-weeks notice refers to, and means, four teaching weeks - NOT four calendar weeks.
THEATRE ARTS: Make-up classes are not suitable for Theatre Arts Classes as different repertoire is covered in each class. If you will be absent, please contact your teacher to find out what information was covered so that you may practice before the next class. Students registered in Theatre Arts Classes are expected to complete the entire year. There are no refunds after the first 4 weeks of classes.
At Music and Play we keep in touch with our clients electronically. Being connected with Music and Play means that you will stay on top of the happenings in your child's classes and will hear about programs, events and activities that we have planned for them. By typing YES in the 'Receive M&P Class Info emails' box on the registration form above, you consent to receive class information, announcements, invitations, publications and other M&P communications via electronic means. IF YOU DO NOT TYPE YES in the box when registering or 'I have read and agree' via the parent portal, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CLASS NOTICES of any kind (including class cancellations, holiday reminders, new class info, priority registration, recital information, etc).
