In consideration of permitting my child(ren) to participate in classes or activities offered by The Arbor Learning Community, I, the undersigned, in full recognition and appreciation of the dangers and hazards inherent in this activity, do hereby agree to assume all the risks and responsibilities surrounding his/her/their participation; and, further I hereby defend, hold harmless, indemnify, and release, and forever discharge The Arbor Learning Community and all its trustees, officers, representatives, agents, employees, and volunteers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, on his/her/their participation in classes or activities, and which result from causes beyond the control of, and without the fault or negligence of The Arbor Learning Community, its trustees, officers, representatives, agents or employees, during the period of my participation as aforesaid.
I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian of the student(s) I am registering, do hereby request that my child(ren) be permitted to participate in any class or activity sponsored by The Arbor Learning Community. Should the need arise, I do hereby authorize and consent to any X-ray examination, anesthetic, and medical or surgical diagnosis rendered under the general or special supervision of any member of the medical and emergency room staff licensed under the provisions of the Medicine Practice Act, Dentist licensed under the provisions of the Dental Practice Act, and/or the Department of Public Health. It is understood that this authorization is given in advance of any specific diagnosis, treatment, or hospital care being required, but is given to provide authority and power to render care that the aforementioned physician in the exercise of his or her best judgment may deem advisable. It is understood that treatments will not be withheld if the undersigned cannot be reached. I will not hold liable The Arbor Learning Community, its officers, or employees for medical aid rendered and will reimburse The Arbor Learning Community for medical or other expenses incurred in the care of my child(ren). This authorization is given pursuant to Section 25.8 of the Civil Code of California and remains effective only for the student(s) registered. The Arbor Learning Community does not pay physician fees or medical expenses of students who are injured at classes or activities held by The Arbor Learning Community.
The non-refundable annual family registration fee of $75 is charged to each family's credit card on file the first time a family registers during a school year, unless the family's child or children are only on wait lists.
Your registration of high school classes authorizes us to charge the $50 per class enrollment fee to your card on file at the time of registration. The enrollment fee is non-refundable two weeks after registration. Families paying 100% privately may reduce their payment by the $50 per class; families paying with any charter fees, and whose child is still enrolled in the class in March 2021, will have the enrollment fee returned or rolled over for the following year.
For families paying privately or with a combination of charter and private funds, payment within 14 days of registration of your private payment portion will secure your registration. Failure to communicate intended payment method and payment of private pay portion within 14 days of registration may result in your registered classes being dropped. For families paying with charter funds, purchase orders are due by August 13th for fall and December 10th for spring, unless registering late, in which case students may not attend class until payment or charter school purchase orders have been received.
Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment; any classes cancelled by The Arbor will be refunded in full.
Class Changes and Refunds
A $50 per class change fee will be charged for classes changed or dropped between July 16th and August 13th for the fall session and between December 1st and December 31st for the spring session.
If a class is dropped between August 14th and September 30th for the fall session and between January 1st and January 31st for the spring session, a 75% refund will be issued.
If a class is dropped between October 1st and October 31st for the fall session and between February 1st and Feburary 28th for the spring session, a 50% refund will be issued.
No refunds will be made after October 31st for the fall and February 28th for the spring.
*The Arbor's refund policy applies to ALL families. If you are paying with charter funds and some or all of the fees are not paid for by your charter, families are responsible for any remaining amount not paid for by their charter school. This may include but is not limited to: charter school holidays or non-student days, extended periods of absence if not paid for by the charter, and when families drop or change classes after the end of the period in which there are no fees to drop.
