taken off the billing cycle. Forms are available at the front desk. Once staff receives the completed form, they will check to be sure all payments are current. Any balances on
the customer's account will be run the day the "Taking a Break" form is turned in. There are no refunds or credits once the tuition has been processed.
Make Up Policy
- We are focused on providing the absolute best swim lesson experience as possible. We do realize that conflicts arise from time to time that require you to miss a regularly
scheduled class. A swim pass will be given for your family to use during Open Swim hours if it is necessary to miss a class.
- We believe that you are paying for your child's spot in the class, not their attendance. It is ideal for your child to attend their regular classes, as all team members, including your
child's teacher, will get to know your child better. In addition, progress in swim lessons is largely based on consistency.
- In the event IBPS schedules a make-up day for cancelled classes, we do not provide make-ups for missed make-up classes.
Swim Diaper/Health Policies
Swim Diapers:
-Non-disposable, wash & wear swim diapers are REQUIRED for any student under the age of 4.
Illnesses:
- OK to swim:
If your child has a clear runny nose, but no fever
- NOT OK to swim:
If your child has a fever or any type of contagious condition (respiratory, eye, or skin rash), or diarrhea.
- Please do not bring them to class until your doctor has cleared them to continue with physical activity.
- Students with sensitive eyes are encouraged to wear goggles.
Low Enrollment Policy
- In the event that a group class is scheduled and there is only one student in the class, please understand you might be required to switch times to properly fill classes.
- If you wish to stay in the time slot after management informs you of the need for movement, you will be required to pay for the rate of a private lesson.
- Classes with no enrollment may be closed at any time.
What if my child is ready to move to the next level?
- Once a child meets the requirements of a certain swim level, the Coach will decide to move your child to the next level of swim.
- You will be instructed to talk to the front desk staff to find a new, available class at the next level. Availability is determined by current class size. Your child may be assigned to a
different day and/or time at the new level.
- You child will begin the new class time/level the following week.
Where do I go while my child is swimming?
- A viewing area is available for easy and comfortable observation of your child's swim lessons.
- If your child experiences separation anxiety, the instructor may ask you to remain out of sight for the duration of the first few classes. Please do not take offense to this request.
Your cooperation will help your child focus on the new environment and adjust to their new teacher. Know that within a few lessons, you will be able to observe your child during
their swim lesson.
- A designated responsible adult must remain on premises throughout the entire lesson
Preparing for swim lessons
- All band-aids MUST be removed before swim lessons
- All long hair MUST be tied back
- Come prepared with bathing suit, towel, and all other appropriate swimming essentials
Special Needs
- To best service our many special needs and special care clients, our Staff must be made aware of as much information as possible to properly care for the student. This can be
done by filling out our Special Needs form and verbally communicating with our Staff.
- Unless otherwise specified, the instructors for these students are NOT registered therapists.
- A doctor's release may be required for heart conditions, respiratory conditions, diabetes, epilepsy, and anything that would require special care or emergency procedures. This
information will be kept confidential.
Inclement Weather Policy

telephone message and/or Facebook.
- In the case of severe acts of nature and IBPS has to close its doors, no make-ups will be given.
Late Arrival to Class Policy
Students who are late for class can have a "Snowball Effect". They can become shy, tentative, stressed or even anxious. This can spill over to the rest of the class causing the trust and control the instructor had to disappear. The first 10 minutes of class is the most important part of the entire 30 minutes. Therefore, IBPS policy is, do not bring your child into class AFTER the 1st 10 minutes. Desk staff will provide you with an Open Swim pass to be used during Open Swim hours at a later time.
