There is a one-time registration fee of $25 per new student for classes (including Baby Bop! music), spring and summer programs, and piano lessons. (This fee does not apply for special events, individual virtual classes, or birthday parties).
There is a 5% sibling discount applied to the second child and any additional children from the same family. Discounts cannot be combined and do not apply to special events or individual virtual classes.
A one-time, complimentary trial class is offered for all new students. Please note this is only offered for students new to DWMR. Please submit a request
or call ahead of time to set up a trial. NOTE: There are no trial classes for spring or summer short programs.
3 makeup classes are allowed per semester for missed classes (and do not carry over from session to session) during Fall/Winter/Spring sessions. 2 makeup classes are allowed in Summer and Baby Bop! music classes (note exceptions for weeks falling over holidays--see Summer Policies for more info). Makeups may be taken in any other, non-wait-listed, age-appropriate class, pending instructor approval. Due to Tribeca recital preparation, no make up classes will be permitted in the month of June. Please submit a request
or call ahead of time to request a makeup class. NOTE: makeups cannot be cancelled or changed within 24 hours of the makeup class. If you miss your makeup, you will not be able to reschedule. Makeups may only be scheduled after the class has been missed. There are no make ups or trials during short programs. We do not offer additional make up classes for holidays, weather closures, or other instances in which classes do not take place.
Summer classes may not be pro-rated. However, students are welcome to make-up any missed classes in other age-appropriate available classes (maximum of 2 make-ups per student in summer classes / 1 make-up in classes falling over holidays), pending instructor approval. Please email or call ahead of time to schedule a makeup.
All sales are final. Should you move out of town, you will be required to present proof of new address. Should you need to cancel your enrollment prior to the start of a class session, you will be charged a $100 deposit fee. No refunds for withdrawals from Summer classes or programs after June 1st. In special circumstances where a class credit is issued, credit may only be used for a student within the same family for which it was originally applied.
DECLINED CREDIT CARDS
There will be a $5 fee for declined or expired cards.
For Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer classes and programs, a $100 non-refundable deposit will be charged at the time of enrollment, with any remaining balance due charged the first week of classes. (This does not apply to special events).
No fees are charged if registering for the wait list.
FALL & WINTER/SPRING ENROLLMENT ROLLOVER
Students enrolled in Fall dance classes (not including Baby Bop!) will automatically be re-enrolled into their same classes in the Winter/Spring Session unless they opt out, in order to guarantee their spot(s) in the Winter/Spring Session. No less than two (2) notices will be sent to enrolled students via email reminding them of this rollover and providing opportunity to opt-out of Winter/Spring classes. Should students not opt out by the provided deadline, they will be re-enrolled and their credit card on file will be charged for the published rate of the Winter/Spring Session. Should student withdraw from the Winter/Spring session after the provided deadline, a $100 deposit fee will be subtracted from their refund.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS/DATA FEES
DANCE WITH MISS RACHEL will provide reasonable guidance for participating in virtual class enrollments offered through Zoom or YouTube communicated via email. It is the enrollee's responsibility to ensure software or app is properly installed and functioning prior to class time. Any applicable data fees for accessing class content are the sole responsibility of the enrollee and not DANCE WITH MISS RACHEL.
FULL VIRTUAL CLASS CATALOG SUBSCRIPTION FEES
Families enrolled in weekly virtual class subscriptions (not live drop-in classes), will be charged the published rate each week from the time of enrollment through June 20 (end of Winter/Spring Session)-or for as long as spring virtual class session subscription is offered or until family cancels their subscription, whichever comes first. Cancellations must be made in writing (email will suffice).
LOST & FOUND
DANCE WITH MISS RACHEL (including its staff and teachers) is not responsible for lost or stolen items at the studio, its facilities, or other locations used for studio functions such as recital venues or party locations.
All dancers enrolled in Winter/Spring session in Tribeca will have the opportunity to participate in our year-end recital in May/June each year. An additional recital fee will be charged in order to participate.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS / IMPORTANT DATES
DANCE WITH MISS RACHEL follows the official NYC Board of Education school calendar in observance of holidays in most cases. Students will be reminded ahead of time when class will not be held. View important dates here.
VIDEO RECORDING OF CLASSES
With the exception of your dancer's solo, video recording is prohibited during classes.
