PROGRAM
Evolutions School of Dance INC offers a Full Year, 10 month dance education program which commences each season in September and ends in June.
Each class is guaranteed a minimum of 33 classes including dress rehearsal & showcase.
Sessional classes are offered 3 or 4 times during the season, these are 8 week classes & require payment in full at time of enrollment.
Summer dance camp offerings vary each season-please view details posted on our website.

All dancer participation in our programming is at the sole discretion of Evolutions School of Dance and its Directors.
All regular division classes have a minimum of 33 scheduled classes in a calendar year. Classes commence in September and conclude in June.
REGISTRATION FEES
A non-refundable Registration Fee fee of $25/dancer ($50 max/family) is due at registration to secure your child's spot in our full year program/classes.
When you register you will be required to pay this fee by Visa/MC/E-Check.
Your registration will not be complete and therefore your confirmation in the class will not be confirmed until this fee has been paid.
There is no Registration Fee for Sessional or Custom Classes.
* Each dancer registered in our Pre-Intermediate classes and lower are required to purchase an Individual ESD Prop Bag for their classes. These cost $10 and will be automatically added to your first month's tuition. Props are integral part of our program, and due to current health restrictions, we will not be sharing props or housing them in our studio. Your individual ESD Prop Bag includes commonly used dance props inside an ESD dance bag, such as: a scarf, tool for musicality, magic wand, ribbon & more. Each bag will differ slightly depending on level.

Pre-Intermediate (2 hours/week) = $131.25
Intermediate 1 Ballet & Pre-Pointe/Pointe (2.5 hours/week) - $156.25
Intermediate 2 Ballet & Pre-Pointe/Pointe (2.5 hours/week) - $156.25
Senior Ballet & Pointe (3.75 hours/week) - $255

Family Discount
Those families with 3+ children will receive an additional 5% off the total tuition
ADDITIONAL COSTS
Additional during the dance year will include dance attire and shoes, costumes for recital, photos, tickets for the recital, DVD at the recital.
8 Week Sessional & Summer Programs:
There is no Registration Fee. (This fee may auto-post due to the automation of our software, but will be deleted from your account.)
Payments for sessional classes and summer programs are due on registration. Your registration is not confirmed in your class until payment is made in full.
Payment can be made by credit card or pre-authorized debit.
* It is your responsibility to ensure that all banking information on file is up to date on your account, whether by logging into your Customer Portal and updating payment information.
2020/2021 Sessional Class Fees
30 minute class = $125+gst
45 minute class = $160+gst
Sometimes, due to the calendar, sessions may be shorter. In this case, prices will be adjusted.
* Sessional classes are non-refundable after the class begins without a medical note and credits will not be issued for missed classes.
**Sessional class fees are due upon registration - please do not pay the $25 Registration Fee. This will be deleted from your account.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Customers are advised:
All dance fees and services are subject to 5% GST.
Payment processed successfully ensures spot in class. Payment information, the Registration Fee and the first and last month's tuition must be completed prior to class commencement.
Required payment information (credit card or banking info) must be provided in a completed manner upon enrollment.
Acceptable forms of payment: Credit Card (American Express, MasterCard, Visa), Void cheque, or an Authorized Debit Payment form completed by your bank. Arrangements for cash payment can also be made for full payment of fees due (Visa Debit is NOT Accepted through our online system. )
It is your responsibility to make necessary changes and updates to bank accounts or credit cards throughout the season.
Fees being submitted for payment by bank account (those not being paid by credit card) take several business days to clear after submitted and funds in your account must remain available until payment is cleared by your bank.
Evolutions School of Dance reserves the right to cancel classes and will provide a full refund, as necessary.
Tuition fees do not include fees for exams, competitions, extra classes, dance attire, costumes, candid or formal photographs, videos, or recital tickets.
For an additional fee, lessons for exams and competition work will be available.
Enrollment in classes does not guarantee entry into exams or competition program. Age, potential, commitment & teacher recommendation will be considered.
FULL YEAR CLASSES
Monthly Payment paid by Automatic Withdrawal (processed on the 1st of each month). We must have your bank account information on file as well as a signed PAD form (to be emailed to families in August before classes begin) .
There is a $25/dancer ($50/family) Registration Fee secures your spot.
Tuition is processed on the 1st of each month.
The first and last month's payment will be processed on September 1st, 2020
Unlimited Students: monthly payments are processed on the 1st of the month for 10 months
There is a $30.00 returned check charge for any payments returned by the bank. It is the parent's responsibility to update payment information through the customer portal.
* If you would like to pay for the entire amount in one or two lump sum payments, please make arrangements with the Dance School Director.
SESSIONAL, SUMMER & CUSTOM CLASSES
Payment is due upon registration and does not include a Registration Fee. Please do not pay this $25.00 registration fee.
* Sessional classes are non-refundable after the class begins without a medical note and credits will not be issued for missed classes.
** If the class does not run, we will provide a full refund.
NON PAYMENT PROCEDURE:
1. Written warning by email & reminder of non payment
2. Written warning by email & late fee of $35 applied to account
3. If payments are late a third time, students will no longer be permitted to attend their classes and a re-payment agreement payment plan has been made.
* Accounts that are not up to date by May 15 risk having their children not perform at the year end showcase.
Any NSF payments will be subject to a $35 charge.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY
If you wish to withdraw your child from Evolutions School of Dance 1 month's written (email is sufficient) notice must be provided to the director on the 1st of the month. One full month after notification of withdrawal, automatic payment will be terminated. If fees have been paid partially or in full, a refund cheque will be provided for the remaining amount. There will be no cancellations with refund accepted after February 1st due to performance preparations.
ABSENCES AND MISSED CLASSES
If you will be missing a class, you are requested to call or text the studio @ 403.819.0758 to notify ESD of your absence.
There are no refunds for missed classes. Students may contact the studio to inquire about make up classes in the same or similar class during the week.
ESD reserves the right to cancel classes during inclement weather or other emergencies. All families affected will be contacted if this happens.
MANDATED CLOSURES & VIRTUAL CLASSES
Customers are advised:
Dance training will be provided in our physical studio space unless it is closed due to extreme circumstances. If the studio is closed for reasons beyond control, such as, but not limited to, government mandated closure, health risk, safety precautions or other reasons that may be unpredictable and/or unprecedented by nature, if necessary, Evolutions School of Dance will transition to online learning which may include, but are not limited to pre-recorded and livestreaming classes. Tuition will not be discounted.
Some classes may only be offered through online learning only. These virtual classes will be labelled upon enrollment. Before enrolling in online learning, clients should ensure they have appropriate space to move in at home and appropriate technology so you can be connected (internet connection, device to play classes on such as a computer, tablet or phone). Clients will need to download specific apps or set up online accounts, such as ZOOM in order to participate in online learning. Online learning classes will be labeled, "Virtual" on the registration page.
SHOWCASE & COSTUME DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
All ESD classes participate in our Final Showase in June.
Additional details are sent out in September/October
All dancers are registered to participate in the show unless a letter of non-participation is received by November 1st.
Each dancer is responsible for the costs associated with their recital costume for each class they are registered in.
Costume fees will be automatically transacted through your account on the due date.
All costumes will be ordered from an online catalogue.
A nonrefundable costume deposit will be required on November 15, 2020
All remaining amounts will be charged on February 15, 2021.
Costume Deposits are as follows:
Toddler and Preschool classes - $50
Beginner classes - $60/class
Junior classes - $65/class
Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Senior classes and PD entries - $75/class

It is the responsibility of all ESD parents to remain informed and up to date on all communications, scheduling and events of the dance studio. This includes reading our Monthly Newsletter, which will be sent to your email address on file with us.
All newsletters and emails are archived on your Customer Portal so you can access them.
We also have a Facebook group for our ESD families. The link to join this group will be sent in our Monthly Newsletters.
RECEIPTS
You will receive a monthly receipt emailed from us outlining the payment that has been processed for the corresponding payment. You can also view all of your transactions by signing to the customer portal. If you require a duplicate copy of your receipts you will be charged an extra $25.00 for this to be processed. All receipts will be emailed to the address we have on file so please ensure your email address is current.
MEDIA RELEASE
At times we post pictures on our website and social media pages. A 2020/2021 Media Release form will be sent out to all parents in September. Parents may choose whether to opt in or not.
ELECTRONIC MESSAGES
I agree to receive Evolutions School of Dance email newsletter communications, containing updates and important information relevant to my child's involvement at ESD. You can withdraw your email address at any time, should you choose. (Please note that we must have your email address on file in order to send you any email communications). If you do not receive our email communications please notify us by email.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration of the Evolutions School of Dance granting me and/or my child permission to participate in dance classes at the Evolutions School of Dance for the 2020/2021 dance year (hereafter referred to as the "event"), I HEREBY, in my personal capacity OR as guardian of, and behalf of My Child:
Release of liability
1. agree that there are risks and hazards inherent in the very nature of the event, and that as a result of these risks and hazards I, or My Child, may suffer loss of property, or may suffer serious personal injury, or disability;
2. freely and voluntarily assume the aforementioned risks and hazards and agree that My, or My Child's, participation in the event is entirely at our own risk;
3. release Evolutions School of Dance, the directors, instructors and volunteers from any and all claims, actions, suits, demands, damages, including consequential damages, and losses of any and every kind whatsoever which I, My Child, or any of our heirs, ever had, now have, or may have in the future, in respect of or by reason of or in connection with me or My Child's participation in the event; and
4. acknowledge that I have carefully read this document, am signing it freely and voluntarily and do not rely on any inducements, promises or representations whatsoever.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: COVID-19
In consideration of Evolutions School of Dance INC granting me and/or my child permission to participate in dance classes at the Evolutions School of Dance for the 2020/2021 dance year, I HEREBY, in my personal capacity OR as guardian of, and behalf of My Child understand that for the 2020/2021 dance season:
1. Evolutions School of Dance INC will adhere to all public health orders, guidelines and protocols outlined by Alberta Health Services. All details of safety protocols that will be put in place can be referenced in our "ESD COVID-19 Start Up Plan";
2. Even with these safety protocols in place, Evolutions School of Dance INC cannot guarantee the elimination of all risks inherent during a pandemic; I freely and voluntarily assume the aforementioned risks and hazards and agree that My, or My Child's, participation in the event is entirely at our own risk;
3. I completely release Evolutions School of Dance INC from all COVID-19 related liability whatsoever.
4. I promise to comply with the safety protocols of Evolutions School of Dance INC, as the same may be changed from time to time.
SIGNATURE TEXT
I/We agree to the above items and understand entering my name indicates my agreement of Evolutions School of Dance INC studio policies, expectations, terms, fees and conditions.
