ATTENDANCE & LATENESS
One of our biggest responsibilities is to keep your child and the other students in the class safe. That is why we have the following policies. The school reserves the right to have students who come 20 minutes or more late to class, sit out the class. Repeated lateness may result in termination of lesson; a minimum attendance standard will be required. If a student misses more than 5 unexcused absences after January 1st, that student may not attend the recital or may have his/her lessons terminated without refund of money. An excused absence is if a student is sick with a Dr.'s note or there was a death in the family or if there is a school function that the student must participate in to achieve good grades (ex; a concert that if your child doesn't participate in will receive an F.... please note school functions such as Chic-Fil-A night and attending Phillies games etc. are not considered excused). If a student has not been in class for 3 consecutive weeks and we have not heard from his/her guardian, we will fill that student's spot with another student from our waiting list. Make up classes are available for students who wish to make up classes he/she has missed but THIS DOES NOT TAKE AWAY/MAKE UP FOR YOUR ABSENCES. Students may take a make up class anytime between September and June. Please note during the months of January-June it is important that your child attend his/her regular class as much as possible.
CARE OF STUDENTS
The school is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Parents with students under the age of 8 must maintain in the school during classes or plan to have a friend or relative there. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive periods before or after classes.
SNOW/ICE DAYS
In the case of inclement weather, we will send a mass email and post it on our Facebook page. If the studio is closed there will be a message on our voicemail.
COMMUNICATION
It is the parent's responsibility to keep track of all studio information, policies, payments and dates. Monthly newsletters will be emailed to the email address given to Dance Xperience LLC when the student/parent registered for class/es. It is the parent's responsibility to let the school know if an email address has changed. Please make sure our newsletters/emails do not go into a spam folder and keep all studio related emails in case there is a need to refer back to them.
WITHDRAWS & REFUNDS
There is a two-month minimum on all lessons. One month notice form the first of the month is required to discontinue any classes. Withdrawal must occur BY THE LAST DAY of the month. No withdrawals will be accepted after April 1st. To withdraw from a class a parent or adult must:
*Inform the studio administration
*Complete and sign a withdrawal form and exit survey provided by the school office and return it to us no later than the end of the month so as to not be charged for the next month
*No refunds will be given for costume fees
INJURIES
Parents, legal guardians of minors, students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class time.
AUTHORIZATION
By signing this form you are allowing Dance Xperience LLC to use picture and/or video of your child for advertising purposes only.
Dance Xperience LLC reserves the right to terminate lessons to any student without notice. In such a case a refund will be given for the unused lessons. I've read and understood the above policies and agree to abide by them.
SUMMER REGISTRATION
The session fee must be paid at time of registration to hold your spot. If we do not have your session payment in full and a signed policies/contract we cannot hold your dancers spot in the class. Once you have paid your session fee, your dancer's spot is held in that class. If we do not have enough dancers to hold the class and must cancel that class we will refund your session fee. There must be at least 4 dancers to hold a class.
There are NO REFUNDS for unused classes. There are NO REFUNDS if you decide to withdraw from class. We have this rule because if we have 4 dancers in a class and 2 withdraw then the remaining two students cannot have class because we cannot afford to continue to hold the class. This ensures that the class will definitely occur for the full session for everyone.
