Payment Information & Refunds
Thank you for registering at EXA Sports. EXA apparel, can be purchased at our proshop at http://www.exathletics.com/#!pro-shop/ciaq.
Payment is due upon registration. Cards will be run for tuition on the 25th of the month prior to the month tuition is due or the week you start classes with us.
All accounts are required to keep a debit/credit card on file. All unpaid accounts after the 1st of the month will be dropped. You must make payment in full to re-enroll.
There is a $20.00 returned check charge for any checks returned by the bank.
Lesson fees do not include competition clothing or meet fees.
If a gymnast is enrolled on the 1st month, refunds will only be given if the class is cancelled by EXA and a similar class is not available. If a student is unable to complete a class for documented medical reasons, a credit will be issued that may be used for classes or items within the same membership year.
We will not issue refunds if it was your choice not to attend class. We allow unlimited make ups so you may make up the classes you missed. We require a 2 week notice to drop your class and stop your billing for recreational classes and a 30 day notice for competitive gymnastics.
Uniform/Leo sales are final and cannot be returned or refunded.
Rescheduling and Withdrawal
While EXA Sports makes every effort to keep the coaching staff consistent, some substitution of coaches may occur due to scheduling issues. If a class is canceled due to inclement weather, open gym may be used to make up the time. Classes may be cancelled if there are fewer than 4 member enrolled.
If you wish to withdraw from class, you must fill out a drop request form at the front desk 2 weeks prior to the end of the month/drop date. Tuition is posted/charged automatically each month and will continue to post to your account unless you notify us that you are withdrawing from class. We cannot guarantee that your card will not be charged if you do not fill out a drop form with a 2 week notice. Competitive All Star Cheer & Gymnastics requires a 30 day notice.
If you decide to withdraw/take a break during a month, your money will not be refunded. All sales are final. You may however, schedule a make up class.
Inclement Weather Policy
If weather requires the gym to close we will attempt to contact you via facebook and email.
ExA & AAU Membership Fees
Due to our insurance policy, all of our athletes are required to become AAU members through the AAU website at AAUsports.org. Once this membership is obtained, the athlete's membership number must be given to Exceptional Athletics before your child is allowed to start their class. The last 4 digits of that number will be the student's ID/check in number.
Since this is an additional cost to the EXA membership fees, ExA membership fees will be reduced when members renew with us after their 2nd year.
*Prices for ExA and AAU memberships are subject to change.
Etiquette and Termination
Those not participating in a class must remain in the viewing area at all times. This includes parents and siblings who have classes scheduled at other times. This policy enables our staff to retain their student's full attention ensuring they receive a quality class. We ask that parents please do not talk with your child during class time. A child's contact with their parents can be very limiting to their class progress and could become a safety hazard due to a lack of concentration from the child. Any time you would like to understand and/or discuss what your child is working on in class, please ask their instructor. Our staff is always willing to talk to you. We will have observation times when parents and siblings will be allowed in the gym to watch.
During workout, gymnasts and cheerleaders may not chew gum or drink soda. No food is allowed in the equipment area. Questions regarding decisions of judges or officials at meets must be addressed with the coach present at the meet. Excessive negative or threatening behavior by an athlete or family member may be cause for termination from the program. Athletes removed from practice for behavior will require a conference with a parent and the club director before they may return to practices. Parents may not coach their athletes from the stands during meets or practices. Athlete use of drugs, alcohol or tobacco will result in a one week suspension with no refund. A second infraction will result in immediate termination from the program.
Attire
For practice, gymnasts should wear a leotard, cheerleaders should wear a tight fitting shirt, shorts, and cheer shoes that are not worn outside. All girls should have their hair pulled back. Boys should wear a t-shirt and athletic shorts. Baggy shorts or cutoffs may not be
worn. Gymnasts must provide their own grips, tape and other gear. Pre-wrap and tape must be purchased on your own. For safety, all jewelry must be removed. Competitive gymnasts and cheerleaders will receive information on the attire required for competition.
