Enrollment
Ballet Caliente operates under an ANNUAL enrollment agreement. Our dance year is from September through the end of year culminating events, either the recital (May) or performance (June). All class slots are reserved for students participating in the entire dance year. Patrons are billed in 9 monthly installments.
Students who join during the year will pay on a prorated basis.
Students who withdraw during the year are refunded on a prorated basis, less any discount, from the end of the month in which Ballet Caliente is notified of the withdrawal. Withdrawal notifications should be sent to operations@balletcaliente.com
Our 4 week Summer Dance session offers flexible enrollment to allow for vacations. There is no minimum enrollment. Students may enroll for as little as one week or as many as four.

As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless Ballet Caliente, Inc, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of Ballet Caliente, Inc, its owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises.
Release of Liability
I am aware that all dance training including ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, yoga, Pilates and the exercises associated with it places unusual stress on the body and carry with them the risk of physical injury. On behalf of my child and myself (and if I am no longer a minor, on my own behalf), I assume the risk and agree that Ballet Caliente Inc. Classical School of Dance and it's instructors shall not be liable in any way for injuries sustained at any time and/or for the treatment of and/or failure to treat, such injuries.
I also understand that dance instruction involves kinetic corrections that may include physically touching the student as part of regular class work and rehearsals.
Medical Release
The undersigned gives permission to Ballet Caliente, Inc, its owners and operators to seek medical treatment for the participant in the event they are not able to reach a parent or guardian. I hereby declare any physical/mental problems, restrictions, or condition and/or declare the participant to be in good physical and mental health.
Payment Information
During the school year, our preferred method of payment is by automatic eCheck withdrawal. To participate, please complete the bank account information section below if a new patron or in the 'My Account' tab for returning patrons. We also accept checks and cash at the studio during business hours. Mailed payments should be sent to Ballet Caliente, 44727 St. Andrews Church Rd, California, MD 20619. Payments are due prior to the start of classes. To keep our costs affordable to our patrons, we do not accept credit cards.
Summer Session: Payment is due in full upon enrollment. You may pay electronically through your customer portal, place a check or cash in the tuition slot located in the reception desk at the studio during business hours, or mail a payment to Ballet Caliente, 44727 St. Andrew's Church Rd., California, MD 20619. To keep our costs affordable to our patrons, we do not accept credit cards.
Payment Options
9 Installments - The first installment collected upon registration confirmation and the final collected by May 1. Patrons must choose either AutoPay or regular installment outlined below:
AutoPay 9-Installment Patrons:
1. Your first installment is due upon registration.
2. You must complete the ePayment section of your account information.
3. Subsequent installments with be automatically withdrawn on the 1st of the month from October through May.
4. If your AutoPayment is rejected you must provide updated information within 7 days.
*Patrons choosing Autopay please note: All fees associated with this account will be deducted at time of payment.*
Regular 9-Installment Patrons (not participating in electronic AutoPay)
1. Your first installment is due upon registration.
2. Subsequent installments are due the first of each month from October through May.
3. We extend a grace period until the end of the first full week of the payment month to allow for payments submitted during class time. Payments should be placed in the tuition slot or mailed to Ballet Caliente, 44727 St. Andrews Church Rd, California, MD 20619.
4. Final installments must be received by May 1st, no grace period.
5. Failure to receive reminders or statements does not excuse late payment.
6. If payment is not received by the end of the second full week of the payment month, a late payment processing fee of $15 is assessed and a reminder provided.
7. If payment is not received by the end of the month, a full statement is provided as a second reminder.
8. A third reminder via telephone call is provided after the statement is sent. If payment is not received by the end of that month, the student will be SUSPENDED FROM THE CLASS until the account is settled.
Summer Session & Workshop Patrons:
Payment in full is due upon enrollment.
Tuiton Policies
1. Students with past due accounts or balances after May 1st will not be issued costumes, or allowed to participate in the recital and/or performance.
2. A $30 late order fee applies to all costume fees not received by December 1st.
3. A returned check fee of $30 is assessed for all returned checks.
4. If a check is returned, the patron is notified and must settle the account within 30 days or the student will be suspended from class until the account is settled.
Summer Session:
Payment is due in full upon enrollment. Summer tuition is non-refundable after the start of the session. Registration fees are non-refundable. There is no installment option for summer enrollment as all fees are due upon enrollment.
Fees
All Students:
Upon registration each student is assessed an annual registration and insurance fee of $30 (Aug 1st-Aug 20th) $40 (beginning Aug 21st). New summer students receive a discounted registration of $20. These fees are non-refundable once your registration has been confirmed.
Culminating Event Fees are billed in January and due February 15th. This fee is non-refundable after February 15th.

Non-Refundable ADDITIONAL COSTS (not billed at registration):
1. $65-85 per Costume for each class - costume invoiced in November, payment due by December 1st.
2. Possible Dance Performance Opportunities:
a. Special cast assignment choreography, rehearsal and costume fees due upon acceptance of roles.
b. Extra cast assignment choreography and rehearsal fees due upon acceptance of roles.
c. Holiday show cast assignment choreography, rehearsal and costume fees due upon acceptance of role.
d. Master Class fees due at time of participation.
OPTIONAL PERFORMANCE/RECITAL COSTS (subject to change):
1. Pictures: price depends on choices
2. Additional DVDs available for purchase.
Publicity Release
I grant to Ballet Caliente, Inc, the right to take photographs and/or video of me and my family in connection with school activities. I authorize Ballet Caliente, Inc, its assigns and transferees to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically.
I agree that Ballet Caliente, Inc may use such photographs of me or my child, with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.
I hereby authorize Ballet Caliente record the student's picture and voice on photographs, films, and tapes, to edit these recordings at its discretion, and to incorporate these recordings into movie and sound films on tapes, radio or television programs and/or in print and/or digital media. Ballet Caliente is permitted to use these materials for publicity, advertising and sales promotion and to use the student's name, likeness, voice and biographic or other information in connection with them. I acknowledge that no promises of compensation were made by Ballet Caliente for such use.
