Covid-19 Protocols
In light of COVID-19 we will continue to do everything we can to mitigate risk and prevent exposure among the dancers, faculty and staff. We will be practicing social distancing, wearing face coverings, disinfecting barres, floors, and any other surfaces the dancers might touch between every class as well as during summer camps and competitive summer training. Ballet Etc will only use a government-approved cleaner throughout the studios to ensure that our campers, dancers, faculty and staff are kept safe.
Face Mask Protocol
Children under the age of 6 do not require a mask but are encouraged to wear one if they want to.
Only Parents with a dancer 6 & under will be permitted to enter the building. All Parents entering our facility will require a mask.
Students over the age of 10 will require a mask as they enter and exit the building or are in any common area or washroom, but will be able remove their mask in the dance studio and place it with their belongings once the class commences. Designated social distancing squares have been marked in every studio to ensure dancer and staff safety.
Change rooms are now allowed to be open but will be kept closed for summer classes and potentially in Sept.
Safety Protocols
Everyone entering and exiting Ballet Etc... will be required to use hand sanitizer (it will be provided). Frequent hand washing will be encouraged.
Classes will have staggered start and end times to reduce the number of students entering and exiting the building at one time. Please be timely to avoid overlap.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to remain in their cars until dancers are released. No other parents or family members (including siblings) will be allowed into the studio.
The studios have designated/measured social/physical distance boxes. We have used colourful tape to help guide students and to practice our rights and lefts. Stage left/stage right etc...
All students will come dressed, ready for class. Students are encouraged to use a plastic bin for their dance shoes, a water bottle and to put their outside clothing/shoes in upon entering the studio. This bin will remain with students in studio and taken home after class. The bin can be cleaned by dancer/parents.
No other parents or family members (including siblings) will be allowed into the studio.
A Parent or guardian must complete the Screening tracker form for Covid-19 each day their child comes into the studio. This form is easily found on the studio's main page. This will allow us to provide Public Health with accurate information should potential exposure within the building arise.
If a child or anyone in the household is unwell, the child is not permitted to attend class. In this instance, children will be encouraged to participate in class via Zoom at home when possible.
Ballet Etc has taken every measure possible to keep our dancers, faculty, and staff healthy and safe. If your Child is not not feeling well or has fever, we ask them to remain at home and take class virtually. This will help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Fall dance classes will be broadcast via Zoom. A private Zoom link will be provided for parents who's child is participating from home.
In studio class sizes will limited depending on the size of the room.
To ensure access to dance classes for dancers who are unable to attend in-studio classes, a selection of classes will be offered via Zoom at a 20% discount (these classes will not participate in our end-of-the-year recital).
If Ballet Etc is required to suspend in-studio classes due to an Emergency Declaration or other required closure(s), all dance classes will continue via Zoom. Clients will continue to pay for classes and will receive a 20% discount on their fees. Regular fees will resume once we are back in studio.
We will implement any other safety protocols required by the government and/or the health unit as they are mandated.
Registration Fees Fall 2020/21 Dance Season
Fees due at registration will include:
1) $25.00 Administration Fee
2) First month's payment of all registered dance disciplines.
All fees include HST
Automatic Monthly Payments
By submitting my credit card information I authorize Ballet Etc... to automatically charge my card the above registration fee and then monthly fees on the first of each month beginning October 1, 2020 and ending May 1, 2021.
(8 payments + Registration Fee = 9 payments in total).
I understand that I must notify Ballet Etc... 7 days prior to the first of the month if I decide to use another payment option. If I do not do this I agree that I will be charged for that month.
I understand that it is my responsibility to make sure my credit card is up to date in the customer portal - if credit is denied a $10.00 late fee will be added to my account.
Monthly Fees Fall 2020/2021 Dance Season
Please be aware that tuition is based on a 9 month dance year (September through May). Monthly tuition fees remain the same regardless of weeks in the month, school vacation, closings or the number of absences in the month. All monthly fees are non-refundable.
Release of Liability
I shall be responsible for payment for all classes and costume fees for which my child has registered.
If I cancel my child's registration at any time, I remain responsible for the full balance of costs, if any, as well as an administrative fee of $25.00
A request for changes in classes shall be submitted in writing and Ballet Etc... reserves the right to decline at its absolute discretion.
Ballet Etc... reserves the right to combine/ cancel a class due to low enrollment.
Ballet Etc... is not responsible for lost or stolen articles .
Ballet Etc... is not responsible for injuries which may occur upon the premises.
Communication
Ballet Etc... communicates via e-mail and through our customer portal. Ballet Etc... uses the email address you provide us on this registration form. Ballet Etc.. will only give out information on the telephone to the contact person or emergency person listed on this form.
Photography Release
By checking this box you are giving Ballet Etc... permission to use images of your dancer for promotional purposes and on social media outlets.
Recital Spring 2021
My child will be participating in the year end recital in May 2021 unless I provide written notice to the contrary on or before October 15, 2020.
COVID-19 Liability Waiver
I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing.
I further acknowledge that Ballet Etc...Studio for the Arts has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
I further acknowledge that Ballet Etc...Studio for the Arts can not guarantee that anyone will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19.
I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, studio staff, and other studio clients and their families.
I voluntarily seek services provided by Ballet Etc...Studio for the Arts and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending the studio.
I attest that I or my family will not attend the studio premises:
* If we are experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
* We have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days.
* We have not traveled to a highly impacted area within the United States of America in the last 14 days.
* We do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
* We have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non contagious by state or local public health authorities.
* We are following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
I hereby release and agree to hold Ballet Etc...Studio for the Arts harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the studio, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from Ballet Etc...Studio for the Arts. I understand that this release discharges Ballet Etc...Studio for the Arts from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the studio with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from Ballet Etc...Studio for the Arts. This liability waiver and release extends to the studio together with all owners, partners, and employees.
