A non-refundable fee of $35 per student ($50 per family) is required yearly at time of registration (not applicable for workshop classes or summer camps).
Annual Classes Fees (September - June)
The tuition fees are based on the entire year and have been divided into ten equal monthly payments to accommodate parents. Last monthly payment (June) is non-refundable and payable at time of registration. Tuition must be paid by automatic credit card payment or electronic funds transfer and will be charged to your credit card/bank account on the 1st day of each month (September - May). Credit card payments are not accepted for in-person payment on a monthly basis. Payment must be made by pre-authorized automatic monthly payment.
Full year payments can be made by Cash, Cheque or Credit Card. A 5% discount will be given for all full year payments made by Cash or Cheque.
If you wish to withdraw from Bella Dance Academy you must fill out a withdrawal form. BDA requires 30 days written notice from the 1st of the month to discontinue this service. If notice of withdrawal from a class is received in the middle of the month, you will be required to pay the following month's tuition. If you do not give BDA written notice of your intent to withdraw from a class or classes your account will continue to be charged until the end of the time period covered by this agreement (May, 2020). Withdrawals will not be accepted after March 1, 2020.
Tuition and fees are non-refundable. Refunds will not be given for days missed due to absences, holidays, weather-related closings or power outages. Credit may be given in the event of a medical emergency and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
There is a $30 charge on all NSF cheques and/or returned EFT payments. Incomplete and late accounts will be charged a 5% late charge on the first month and 10% on each month afterwards.
Workshop Classes (Including 9 Week Sessions and Summer Camps)
Workshop fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and due at the time of registration. Workshop classes are not subject to registration fee.
All private lesson fees are non-refundable and due at the time of booking. If cancellation notice is received by BDA (phone or email) with 24 hours notice, a credit will be applied to your account. If 24 hours notice has not been received, your fee will be forfeited.
All dance students, with the exception of Adult students, Parent & Tots, Pre-Pointe, and Workshop Classes (including 9 Week Session Classes, Summer Camps) will have the opportunity to participate in our year-end recital. Students attending classes regularly and who do not miss more than four classes from January through May will be asked to perform.
It is assumed that all students (except Adult, Parent & Tots, Pre-Pointe and Workshop classes) are participating in the show. If, for some reason you do not intend to perform, you MUST inform the office in writing by November 1, 2019 .
I take full responsibility for my child to take part in the year end recital. It is my responsibility to make certain that he/she attends all rehearsals as outlined in the BDA Season Schedule/Policy Agreement. I understand that there are additional fees for my child to take part.
All Classes participating in the year end show must purchase a costume for recital and will be sized by BDA staff. By signing below you authorize Bella Dance Academy to withdraw the appropriate Costume Fees on November 15th, 2019 and Performer's Fee on February 15, 2020 from your EFT or Credit Card payment on file.
Costume & Performer's Fees are as follows:
Junior Dancers (Mini Movement, Hippity Hop, Broadway Babies, Tutus & Tiaras, Preliminary & Primary Ballet, Combo classes)
Costume Fee: $85 + GST (per class), Includes: one complete costume.
Performer's Fee: $50 + GST (per student), Includes: garment bag, alterations, tights (if needed), recital t-shirt, & link to professional filming of Junior Year End Performance.
Senior Dancers (all other classes)
Costume Fee: $95 + GST (per class), Includes: one complete costume.
Performer's Fee: $50 + GST (per student), Includes: garment bag, alterations, tights (if needed), recital t-shirt, & link to professional filming of Senior Year End Performance.
Costume & Performer's Fees are non-refundable and go towards fees associated with our performance (renting our theatre, sound, lighting crew & backstage crew, set and stage design, costumes, tights, alterations, accessories, recital t-shirts, videographer fees, NACC ticketing fees, and much more). If you withdrawal from a class between November 16, 2019 and February 28, 2020 (or later) your performer's fee will be forfeited. All dancers with 3+ classes, or families with 3+ dancers will have the option to switch to a payment plan.
Please talk to us! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns throughout the season we would appreciate you informing us as soon as possible. We appreciate any feedback that you have to offer. It is often difficult to communicate with the faculty between classes, so if you have questions or concerns regarding your child's dance class, class behavior problems, your account, schedules or events, please leave a message, including your phone number at the office and we will return your call as soon as possible.
Newsletters will be emailed to you approximately once a month during the school year to update you on the activities and to communicate important information such as upcoming events, classes added, classes postponed, special events, etc. It is our official communication to you! Please take the time to read it. Copies of the current and past month's newsletters are always posted on the bulletin board and our website for your convenience. Parents are responsible to keep up with the information sent out. All newsletters will be sent via email, so please ensure that the office has your correct email address.

You can still follow our Bella Dance Academy Facebook page - but the Parent Info group will have last minute information and updated news, schedules, etcetera which is studio specific and available to studio families only - adding another level of privacy for our students.

I understand that there are risks of physical injury associated with, arising out of and inherent to the activity of dance. In recognition of this acknowledged risk of injury, I knowingly and voluntarily waive all right and/ or causes of action of any kind, including any and all claims of negligence arising as a result of such activity from which liability could accrue to Bella Dance Academy Inc, it's officers, agents, employees, instructors, subsidiaries, parent corporations, and all affiliated entities (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Bella Dance Academy ".
I hereby agree to release Bella Dance Academy and hold Bella Dance Academy harmless of all liability, and hereby acknowledge that I knowingly and voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks of physical injury arising out of active participation in dance on behalf of the participant. I also understand, that Bella Dance Academy will not assume responsibility for any lost or stolen property.
I am aware that this is a release of liability and an acknowledgement of my voluntary and knowing assumption of the risk of injury. I have signed this document voluntarily and of my own free will in exchange for the privilege of participation. If I am a minor, my parent and / or legal guardian has signed this document releasing Bella Dance Academy from any and all such liability described above and has acknowledged that I am knowingly and voluntarily assuming all risks of injury inherent to this activity.
The participant has my permission to participate in Bella Dance Academy events. I warrant the above information is complete and correct. I further release Bella Dance Academy of all liabilities associated with my child's participation at Bella Dance Academy and all associated events.
The Following must be signed to indicate that you have read and understood Bella Dance Academy's Policies and Registration Agreement and Release of Liability. Students under the age of nineteen must have a parent/guardian signature. I understand and agree to abide by the policies, registration agreement, and regulations of Bella Dance Academy I've read the above & the reverse page and agree.
