8 WEEK SESSIONS: Please note, the majority of the policies listed here apply only to regular season classes and do NOT otherwise apply to drop-in classes or 8 week sessions. For instance: There are no additional fees associated with 8 week sessions (such as costume and registration fees) and billing occurs only once. Should you have any questions regarding studio policy, please contact office office staff for assistance (250-564-6326 or email@example.com).
Upon submission of an online registration form, initial fees shall be posted to your account. Initial fees remain outstanding (UNPAID) until processed by studio office staff. Following the posting of fees, registrant shall be notified via email of the amount owing (usually within three business days). The outstanding balance will then process on the date indicated in the email confirmation, using the billing method selected during the registration process. Registrant may opt to contact Excalibur regarding alternate methods of payment, prior to the indicated processing date.
Initial fees include: First month's tuition fee (as listed + GST), registration fee ($25 + GST per student), and costume fee ($40 + GST per student/per class). Highland, troupe, and adult classes do not require a costume fee.
Tuition fees are calculated as part of an "equal" payment plan (also known as a "balanced" or "averaged" payment plan). The registrant will pay the same fee each month regardless of how many classes are attended. Tuition fees are calculated by determining the total cost of the season (10 months), minus all studio closures, divided equally across the 10 month period between September 2018 and June 2019. Note that all closures are subtracted prior to the calculation of fees, thus reducing the average tuition. It is also important to note that tuition fees vary dependent on the day of the week. For example: Monday and Saturday classes offer a lower tuition rate, as these days are subject to additional stat holiday and long weekend closures throughout the season.
The 2018/19 season includes several "short months" (December, March, and June). As this is an equal payment plan, please be aware that fees will NOT be pro-rated or otherwise reduced. Tuition fees remain the same for all months, regardless of length. However, because closures are subtracted PRIOR to the calculation of tuition, the average fee is significantly reduced for all remaining months.
