Registration Fees
An annual registration fee of $28 plus HST per student is charged to the credit card indicated once registration is received. Declined credit cards will result in removal from the program. Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstance.

SIBLING DISCOUNT-Siblings are entitled to a 5% discount (applies to the lesser valued classes).
MULTI-CLASS DISCOUNT-Class fees are discounted as per the fee schedule for any single student enrolled in more than two one hour classes.
HST is added to all fees.

Payment Policies

TUITION FEES-Tuition is paid in four equal installments by credit card as per fee schedule:

Credit card payments are processed in full on the dates indicated. Partial payments are not permitted.
Zoom Dance Party-Tuition is applied to credit cards immediately upon registration. $30 +HST. No refunds or credits.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
Those who register online agree to pay tuition via credit card indicated upon registration for the duration of the season, according to the payment schedule. It is your responsibility to ensure that credit cards on file are updated regularly to avoid late fees and other penalty charges.
If you wish to pay tuition by post-dated cheques, four cheques (dated as indicated above and made payable to Toronto Dance Industry Inc.) should be mailed to the studio within 3 days of your online registration. Please write the student's full name on the front of every cheque.
MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION
In the event of withdrawal from classes, the office must be notified in writing, fourteen days prior to the next scheduled payment or no refund can be made for that term. All remaining cheques for the season will be returned and scheduled credit card transactions canceled. No refund will be made for the unused portion of a term payment.
No refunds are given for any tuition fees, registration fees, competition fees, costume fees, choreography fees, merchandise purchases and performance tickets. Tuition is non-transferable.
SCHEDULING
The studio reserves the right to cancel, add, combine and/or reschedule classes at any time due to enrollment. Refunds, if necessary, will only be issued for those classes that have had a schedule change.
OVERDUE ACCOUNTS AND ADMINISTRATION FEES- A $35 charge is applied to all cheques returned by the bank for whatever reason. A $25 fee is applied to refunds issued by Toronto Dance Industry Inc., all late payments and postponed/held tuition cheques for whatever reason. Payments are considered late if not received by closing on the due date. 2% will be charged on the last day of each month on all delinquent accounts. Past due accounts are referred to Dixon Commercial Investigators Inc.
Students are not permitted in class with an outstanding balance on their account.
MISSED CLASSES-There is no refund or credit for missed classes. Due to COVID-19 restrictions make up classes are not available for the 2020-2021 Dance Season.
Recitals and Costumes
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, plans for our Company Showcase and Spring Recitals will be determined as the dance season progresses. Should performance opportunities be possible, Showcase will be held in late February 2021 and Recitals in early June 2021.
In the event that performances are possible, in-studio students will be given the option to participate. Those who choose to perform will require a costume for each class. The timing of these plans will determine how we acquire our costumes. The cost of each recreational costume will not exceed $96 plus HST. Costume deposits and payments are non-refundable. Recital performances will not be available for online students.
A Recital Media Fee of $20 + HST (per recreational family) and $30 + HST (per competitive family) will be charged for those who choose to perform in the recitals. This allows you viewing and downloading access to all recitals for the current season.
A Showcase rehearsal fee of $43 + HST will be charged per competitive student. Parents agree to cover all costume alteration costs and new costume fees, with competitive costumes not exceeding $160 + HST per costume.
Competitive Entry Fees
Due dates for entry fees are determined by the competitions. Toronto Dance Industry will not be collecting the balance of entry fees much before these due dates. Please be prepared to submit your entry fees for all four competitions at once.
Studio Policies and Information
DRESS CODE--The dress code is strictly enforced. Please refer to our website for exact details. Students are expected to be dressed correctly for every class to ensure proper instruction. Students who are not dressed appropriately for classes will receive a documented warning. After three warnings, students will be removed from that class. Absolutely no outdoor/street shoes are permitted in the studio. No exceptions. Note: All dance footwear must be approved by the instructors of Toronto Dance Industry Inc. Due to the current COVID-19 situation students are required to come to the studio in their dance uniform. Dressing rooms are closed and washrooms are not available for changing.
HOLIDAYS--The studio is closed for 2 weeks in December and 1 week in March for Spring Break. Tuition does not cover these three weeks of holidays. The studio also follows statutory holidays and is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Halloween, Family Day, Easter Weekend and Victoria Day Weekend.
COMMUNICATION--Important studio information is distributed and updated on a regular basis. Our main means of communication is via email. Please check for these updates regularly to avoid disappointment. The studio is not responsible for missed information please ensure your email address is correct upon registration.
MISCELLANEOUS- The studio is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Please leave your valuables at home. For safety reasons, no jewellery may be worn in class.
Spectators are not allowed in class. Parents are not allowed in the dance studio.
Parents must pick up their children immediately following their class.
Photos and videos of any kind may not be taken anywhere in the studio without the directors consent.
Additional COVID-19 Policies
Everyone entering and exiting the studio will be required to use hand sanitizer and wear a mask in all common areas. Mask must cover nose, mouth and chin. Masks are not mandatory in the dance rooms during physical activity. Students must sanitize their hands before entering a dance room and upon leaving a dance room. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, and to keep numbers in the studio to a minimum, parents are not permitted in the facility. Students cannot be dropped at the studio any earlier than 10 minutes before class and must be picked up immediately following their class. Students must come dressed for class as all lounges and dressing rooms are closed. Students must adhere to our daily screening methods, including temperature checks.
If a student or anyone in their household is unwell, the student is not permitted to attend class. Students may take their class online while they are away from the studio. Students may return to the studio 48 hrs after any flu-like symptoms have passed. Students in online classes will not participate in recitals. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes. Make up classes are not available for the 2020-2021 Dance Season.
In the event of another studio shutdown due to Emergency Declaration or any other required closure, the studio will pause for up to three weeks. Upon completion of three weeks, all classes will finish the current term online via Zoom if we are not permitted back into the studio. There will be no refunds or credits made for the remainder of the term. Assessments will be made at that time as to the remainder of the season.
I understand that Toronto Dance Industry Inc. cannot be held liable for any exposure to the COVID-19 virus caused by any misinformation provided during the screening process by those entering the building.
Toronto Dance Industry will implement any other safety protocols required by the government and/or public health unit.
Virtual Dance Classes
I hereby assume all of the risks of my child(ren) and anyone in my household participating in any/all activities associated with virtual dance classes, including by way of example and not limited to, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective reigns as follows:
(A) I waive, release, and discharge from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of my child(ren), for my child(ren)'s death, disability, personal injury, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to my child(ren) during virtual dance classes by the following entities or persons: TORONTO DANCE INDUSTRY INC and/or their directors, contractors, teachers, employees, or volunteers.
(B) Indemnify, hold armless, and promise not to sue the following entities or persons: TORONTO DANCE INDUSTRY INC and/or their directors, contractors, teachers, employees, or volunteers from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in virtual dance classes, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise. I acknowledge that TORONTO DANCE INDUSTRY INC and their directors, contractors, teachers, employees, or volunteers are NOT responsible for errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting virtual dance classes on their behalf. I acknowledge that this activity may involve injury. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by jumping, leaping, turning, stretching, or any dance movement, lack of hydration, improper dance floor, and actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, and/or producers of the activity.
I certify that I have read this document and I fully understand its content. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract. I sign it of my own free will.
I certify that my child(ren) and all household members participating are physically fit, have sufficiently prepared or trained for participation in virtual dance classes, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my child(ren)'s and household members participation in virtual dance classes. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by TORONTO DANCE INDUSTRY INC, directors, contractors, teachers, employees, or volunteers of the activity in which my child may participate, and that it will govern my child(ren)'s actions and responsibilities at virtual dance classes. I permit my child to participate in virtual dance classes.
To ensure safety and security, 2-way video must be maintained at all times for all virtual dance classes.
We ask you to be careful when posting on social media. We can't restrict what you post there, but we expect you to adhere to our confidentiality policies at all times. Absolutely no choreography or class content or instruction of any form should be posted on social media without the prior approval of the instructor and director of TORONTO DANCE INDUSTRY INC. This includes but it is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snap Chat, Twitter, Tik Tok, and other social media platforms.
Release of Liability
I hereby certify that my child is in good physical condition and is able to participate fully in this program. I understand the inherent risk involved in the physical activity of dancing and acrobatics and I release Toronto Dance Industry Inc. and its teachers, assistants, volunteers, directors, managers and owners from any and all liability actions or lawsuits arising from any activity or travel relating to the program. I am in agreement to the posting of any photos/videos taken in association with the studio, listing of names, etc. on our web site or any other written and/or public material printed for advertising purposes. I understand that Toronto Dance Industry Inc. reserves the right to cancel and/or refuse my registration and enrollment at any time. I am aware and agree to the policies of the studio.
