Liability
The Academy for the Performing Arts (APA)/ Preschool for the Arts is not and shall not be responsible for injuries received by any student while attending class or to any person while on the premises of APA/Preschool for the Arts. Parents of small children are required to be at the premises when their child's class ends for the purpose of picking up their child. APA specifically is not responsible for dance students who choose not to attend class after being dropped off, or who choose to leave the studio during or following their class.
Furthermore, in allowing my child to participate in Online Classes and activities provided by Academy for the Performing Arts, I hereby assume all the risks associated with such activity. I recognize it is my duty to provide my child with a suitable space to learn and practice, with a floorspace of at least 6 feet that is free of clutter. I understand the importance of myself and my child following the instructions and rules set by their instructor(s), and I agree to release Academy for the Performing Arts and it's employees of any and all liability which may arise as a result of my child's participation in activities at home. Failure to adhere to the rules and instructions of the Academy for the Performing Arts staff could lead to injuries, which would be the sole responsibility of the student and their family.
Photography Waiver
Since it is likely that pictures will be taken of students and classes on a regular basis for marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and general studio signage, it is necessary that your permission, as a parent or guardian of the aforementioned student, be given to take such pictures. No names will ever be used in such projects without additional permission by you.
Inclement Weather/Closures
In the case of inclement weather, please refer to our facebook page/news tab on our website, www.apanc.com. All closings/delays will be posted there. Due to scheduling constraints, we are unable to reschedule entire classes. However, dance students may attend any appropriate class at their convenience in order to make up for lost time. We do not refund or pro-rate tuition due to inclement weather closings.
In the event of closures or restrictions, recommended or mandated, by a governing body, classes will continue virtually in some capacity. Dancers have the option of taking their classes virtually or making them up in comparable classes in accordance with our Make Up Policy once we return. In the event of closure, withdrawal notification policies and non-refundable payments remain unchanged. We are not able to refund or pro-rate due to unforeseen closures.
