Welcome to our TDC family! We are so happy and thankful to have you become apart of our program. Please review our studio policies and procedures listed below. We would like to work with you in order to provide your dancer with the very best dance instruction.
Please, do not bring food, drinks or gum in the dance rooms. Only water is permitted and every dancer should have a water bottle with them when they take class.
All classes begin on time. Please plan to arrive to class early with a few minutes to spare. Any student arriving later than 15 minutes from the beginning of class time will not be permitted to dance. This is strictly a safety issue as a student could suffer serious injury if they have not properly stretched. It is also disruptive to the instructor and other students to have class interrupted to accommodate a late student.
OBSERVATION OF CLASSES
In order to provide your children with the highest quality of instruction, we need parents to work with us when observing your child's class.
Every room at the North & East studios has a window and seating area where parents may conveniently view the dance class and the instruction of their dancer.
Older siblings may wait in the lobby; younger siblings, too, as long as they are well supervised.
For safety reasons, children are not permitted in the dance rooms or stairways at any time.
Limited Childcare services are available. The parent or guardian must remain on the premises while children are in childcare. The cost is $2 per visit. Please contact the studio for availability.
Every dance season, we have 15 fabulous recital shows the last few weeks of July. Every dance class for dancer's ages 3 to adult will participate in one recital show. Recital is optional; however 99% of our dancers do participate. This is a wonderful opportunity for dancers to showcase to both family and friends what they have learned throughout their experience in our program. Parents will receive more information regarding show dates and costumes during the first week of February. Costumes are ordered in March, and new enrollment ends during the first week of April. At this time, classes dedicate a portion of their time to rehearsing the routine that they will be performing in one of the recital shows.
Please feel free to contact us at any time you have questions or are unclear on the above-mentioned policies. Call us at (951) 699-9952 or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit our website for the most current information and schedules www.temeculadancecompany.com
Dancers need to arrive to class dressed properly -- hair tied back, shoes, leotard etc. No baggy clothes that will prevent the instructor from seeing the body alignment -- exceptions for hip hop. It is also important mentally for the dancers to be dressed properly. Just as you would not arrive to swimming class in school clothes, you should not arrive to dance in play clothes. Dancers arriving to class in inappropriate or revealing clothing will not be permitted to dance that day.
Dancers are REQUIRED to have proper dance shoes. TDC shoes available for trial classes only. Street shoes are NOT permitted on dance floors.
Sweat pants, breakaway pants, or basketball shorts over the knee. Baggy and loose fitting t-shirts and/or sweatshirts are preferred. Tennis shoes and socks must be worn. No jeans, street or booty shorts, tight pants, sandals or bare feet. Hair tied back in ponytail.
JAZZ & TAP
Jazz pants, biker or booty shorts, dance tank top or leotard. Jazz/tap shoes. Foot Undeez are ok for Jazz as well. No tennis shoes or bare feet. Hair tied back in ponytail or bun.
Hair in a bun. Black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes.
Leotard and tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes, hair in ponytail or bun. Dancers may also wear skirts or tutus.
I (we) despite all reasonable precautions implemented for safety, am (are) fully aware of and appreciate that severe injuries, including permanent paralysis or even death, as well as other damages and losses associated with participation in the programs or activities at Temecula Dance Company (TDC) can occur in sports or activities including, but not limited to, dance, gymnastics, and tumbling. I (we) knowingly and willingly assume all such risks. Being fully aware of these dangers, I hereby give consent for my child(ren) to participate in any and all TDC programs. In consideration for my child(ren's) participation, I (we) hereby for myself and my child(ren) and our respective heirs, executors and administrators, COVENANT NOT TO SUE and FOREVER RELEASE TDC, the owners, operators, directors, officers, employees and other members of TDC from personal injury or accident of any sort or nature suffered by my children or me (us), the undersigned, by reason of participation or membership in classes, lessons or any programs or activities of TDC including those resulting from acts of negligence. I also assume all medical expenses for the aforementioned child or myself, who may be the result of any injuries sustained while training at, or performing for TDC. Further, it is affirmed that sufficient insurance covering all such injuries and damages shall be in full force and effect throughout the program or it's equivalent throughout the child's/parent's dance participation.
In any event of an accident or emergency I hereby authorize my child to be transported to a hospital for medical treatment and I hold TDC and it's representatives harmless in the execution of such. Additionally, I hereby agree to individually provide for all medical expenses which may be incurred by me or my child(ren) as a result of any injury sustained while participating at or for TDC.
I, the minor's parent or legal guardian, understand the nature of the activities my child will be involved in at TDC and the minor's experience and capabilities, and believe the minor to be qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in such activities. I hereby release, discharge, covenant not to sue, and agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless each of the releasee's from all liability claims, demands, losses, or damages on the minor's account caused or alleged to be caused, in whole or in part by the negligence of the "releasees" or otherwise, including negligent rescue operations. I further agree that if, despite this release, I, the minor, or anyone on the minor's behalf makes a claim against any of the releasees named above, I will indemnify, save, and hold harmless each of the releasees from any litigation expenses, attorney fees, loss liability, damage, or any cost that may occur as the result of any such claim.
Participation is on a month-to-month basis and Tuition will be collected, in advance on the first of each month through the debit or credit card on file, unless written cancellation or payment has been made by the last day of the prior month. ALL Tuition is NON-Refundable. By signing your child up for classes at TDC you agree to the above payment policy.
REGISTRATION FEE: A $10 registration fee per student is due upon initial registration and will not be due again as long as there is continuous enrollment. This non-refundable fee defrays TDC administrative costs, and covers the cost of registering and maintaining your family in our records.
MULTI CLASS DISCOUNT FOR SAME STUDENT AND ANY STUDENT IN IMMEDIATE FAMILY: There is a $15 per class discount for each additional member of the immediate family or each additional class per student calculated from the price of the initial class. As an example: If first class is billed at $65.00 per month, all additional classes for that student, or any student(s) in the immediate family, would be charged a rate of $50.
Payments for classes are due at the time of registration, and will be prorated for enrollment in mid month. This enables us to keep a more accurate count of how many students are enrolled for each class and prevents overbooking of classes. Our tuition is based on a 4-week month. No additional charge is assessed for months that offer five classes, it always evens out. In months where holidays, studio closings, etc. affect the schedule of classes, tuition is not reduced. Tuition is not prorated for absences. Please see the Make-Up Policies below.
Any increase in tuition fees will be preceded by a 60 day notice.
