The Daddy/Daughter dance is a wonderful opportunity for Dad’s (Step-Dad’s, Grandpa’s, etc.) to spend quality time bonding with their daughters while creating lifelong memories. Together they will learn a dance that they will perform during the June showcase. Due to time sensitive nature of our performance it’s important that participants are always aware of their responsibilities. Hip Hop (Mini, Jr and Teen Dancers in the Afternoon Performance) Saturday’s 1:00-2:00pm on the following dates: May 3, May 10, May 24, June 7, June 14 Dress Rehearsal: Friday, June 20 Recital: Saturday, June 21 Fee: $60 (includes dad and first dancer, $25 additional per additional dancers)

Daddy Daughter Agreement

Please read the following information very carefully before committing to the Daddy/Daughter Dance.
1. The non-refundable fee to participate is $40 per couple ($15) each additional child in the same dance and includes all rehearsals and choreography videos. This fee is non-refundable, so moms, make sure the dad actually knows about the dance, rehearsal dates and times and is fully committed before signing up. Registration and payment must be received by April 15th .
2. The Daddy/Daughter dance is great fun but it also involves remembering choreography and several hours of rehearsals. If you have injuries/conditions that prohibit you from strenuous physical activity, please contact us before you sign up. All of our Twirl & Tumble and Pre-Dance dancers will perform the traditional style set to a ballad with slow movements. Dancers in our Mini, and Junior classes will perform hip hop. Please note the hip hop style will be faster in tempo and include more physically challenging movements and choreography.

4. We will communicate with Daddy/Daughter participants via email only. You are required to check your email on a regular basis.
5. Dance is difficult. It is a “team sport”. Everybody on stage depends on everyone else to put on a great show. At times it can be physically and mentally challenging. It is essential that you understand that you may feel physically tired and frustrated at the same time. Remember, the Daddy/Daughter dance is an experience that will last a lifetime. Spending time at rehearsal and working through difficult situations with your daughter is as significant as performing the actual dance. Try to remember this important fact when you feel confused, frustrated and tired.
6. All rehearsals are “Closed Rehearsals”, meaning Moms, friends and family may not watch.
7. You may miss only one rehearsal (not the dress rehearsal) and you should try your best to be in attendance for all. We realize that many dads travel out of town on business. Unfortunately, we are unable to alter the rehearsal schedule to accommodate individual travel plans, illness, vacation etc. There is a rehearsal on Mother’s Day but not on Memorial Weekend.
8. There is no costume fee for this routine. For the traditional performance the dancers will need a blue sundress with a nude leotard and ballet slippers. Dads will need a white button down and khaki pants. For the hip hop performance, dads will need blue denim jeans, top to be determined. Dancers will need blue denim shorts, jazz shoes and a coordinating top.
