The School will be hosting an Oktoberfest event this year. Registration will begin in early August. Date: Sunday, September 15th, 2024. Where: Prost Brewing Co – 351 W 104th Ave, Northglenn Time: 12pm to 4pm Cost: $5.00 per adult registration (please add additional adults as student for payment/children 18 and younger are free) Attendance is limited to 140 for the rented space. $5 Fee is used to help pay for the private room. Prost is a family friendly environment with food and drink for all ages. Guests will be responsible for purchasing their own food and drink. We will have games for both children and adults to introduce you to the history and fun of Oktoberfest and use your German speaking skills learned in class. Tschüss! The Board of Directors

Release and Indemnification Agreement

For Attending School Events - Parents and Legal Guardians of Minor Students and Adult Students
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT THAT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

This “Release And Indemnification Agreement” (“Agreement”) is entered into between the registered Student or parents/legal guardians of the registered minor student (referred to as “Student” or “I” throughout this document) as listed in the School’s registration system, and Boulder School for German Language and Culture (“the School”). The purpose of this Agreement is to release and hold harmless the School in the event of any illness, accident, injury or death which the student may suffer while attending an event held by the School for the purpose of participating in an event (“School Event Activities”). This release and indemnification is given in consideration of the opportunity provided by the School to the Student to participate in the School Event Activities.
I am aware of the inherent risks involved in the School Event Activities. I understand that as the Student or parent/legal guardian the Student will participate in the Event and related activities, such as but not limited to walking in circles, singing, making crafts, walking behind horses, playing games (indoors/outdoors), and cooking.
To the extent that I may have any basis for a claim against the School, arising out of illness, accident, injury or death which the I may suffer while participating in the School Event Activities, I take full responsibility and assume the risk thereof and release the School and its officers, directors, teachers, volunteers, representatives, and agents from any and all claims whatsoever, and agree and covenant not to sue them, and I agree to hold them harmless from all such claims. Further, I agree to reimburse the School, and its officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all expenses the School incurs in defending any such claim, including reasonable costs and attorney fees.
I hereby consent to a Director/teacher/volunteer calling for emergency services in the unlikely event that the Student or parent/guardian require medical treatment while attending an event. I will hold the directors, officers, teachers, volunteers, representatives, and agents involved harmless for any medical treatment performed by emergency services or any actions by the emergency services.
I understand that under Colorado law the School may be held liable for illness, accident, injury, or death which the Student may suffer during the Event, and by signing this agreement I intend to release Boulder School for German Language and Culture from any and all such liability arising during the School Event Activities. If any claim should be made against the School as a result of the Student’s acts or omissions while the Student is attending a School Event Activity, I agree to indemnify and hold the School harmless against any such claim or claims made against it, and to defend it against such claim or claims, provided, however, that the School may, at its option, obtain separate legal counsel at its discretion.
By registering for a School Event Activity I, have read and fully understand this Agreement; have been provided with an opportunity to ask questions about its intent and meaning; and have had sufficient answers to my questions.
If the student is a minor, I affirmatively represent and covenant that I have full legal authority to execute this document and all other documents and forms required by the School, that I have full legal custody of the Student (either as parent or as legal guardian) and that such custody extends to all decisions with respect to the Student’s welfare, including the Student’s education
This Agreement shall be construed under the laws of the State of Colorado. The Agreement shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. If any provisions, part, paragraph, sentence or term of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining portions thereof shall nevertheless be binding upon me.
