Registration commitment

I hereby grant permission for my child to attend and participate in the Association des Petits Ecoliers de Miami ("APEM") Summer Camp listed herein and agree to the Terms and Conditions set forth herein. I hereby release and discharge APEM and its directors, officers, employees, subsidiaries, contractors, and agents from and against all claims and losses of any type arising out of or relating to my child's participation in the Summer Camp through APEM.
I am 18 years of age or older and the parent or legal guardian of the above-named child. I have read the Terms and Conditions set forth below, and acknowledge and agree to them.

Terms and Conditions

APEM reserves the right to cancel and/or change the schedule, location, or time of any session at any time without liability. APEM will have no liability to attendees and hereby disclaims any and all warranties of any kind, express or implied.
APEM attendees are responsible for their own actions during class/camp sessions. APEM reserves the right to remove attendees from any APEM camp sessions for unacceptable behavior, at APEM's or its agents' sole discretion, in which case registration fees and tuition will not be refunded.
Students, who are not registered at the Summer Camp cannot be allowed in the class and activities conducted by APEM. APEM attendees will be released to their parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must provide identification. APEM is not responsible for any damage to or loss of personal property that arises from or is related to an individual's participation in APEM classes/camps. The parent or guardian acknowledges and agrees that he/she will be liable for any property damage or personal injury claims arising from or related to the acts of his/her child during APEM camp sessions. The parent or guardian gives permission for his/her child to receive emergency medical care if needed.

Payment Policy

APEM's French Summer Camp is a 3-week camp. Registration and Summer Camp must paid the week prior to the beginning the Summer Camp.
Registration fees and tuition are not refunded if a student is absent, withdrawn or dismissed from the program.
Price:
Camp registration: $30
Tuition: $380 / Week
Extended hours: 50$/ Week
Payment Options:
Pay via Zelle
Use credit card on file (additional 3% bank fee will be applied).
Available discounts:
Early Registration: -5% on tuitions will be applied if you register your child before 04/10/2025.
Apem and Vitra members: -5% on tuitions will be applied for children who were enrolled in 2024-2025 Classes.
Board members and Staff: -10% on tuitions will be applied.

Medical emergencies / Medication

Medical release:
I hereby release, discharge and/or otherwise indemnify APEM, its affiliated organizations and sponsors, their employees and associated personnel, including the owners of the facilities utilized for the program, against any claim by or on behalf of the student's participation in the school. My child has received a recent physical examination by a physician and I have disclosed any and all known medical conditions to APEM.
Therefore, I grant APEM permission to act as my surrogate for my child in the area of obtaining medical treatment if needed. In the event that I cannot be reached, I give permission to the authorities of APEM to seek emergency treatment at the nearest hospital. I also assume financial responsibility for any medical treatment for my child.
I commit to informing APEM of any change in personal contact details.
Medication :
APEM will administer any medication without a written and signed authorization specifying the name of the medication and the dosage.

Media Release

Drop off, Pick up, Extended Care, Late pick up

DROP OFF & PICK UP
Children can be dropped off between 8:45 am and 9:00 am and will be dismissed at 3:00 pm.
Parents/guardians MUST drop their child at the entrance where they will be greeted by their teacher.
The attendance sheet must be signed at drop off and pick up. All the way to school entrance door
No parents/guardians are allowed in the school other than at drop off and pick up time.
Parents should exit the camp promptly and not linger or allow their children to play and run in the hallways during dismissal to promptly conduct the drop off and pick up.
On the first day of camp, make sure that all the necessary information (including emergency contacts and health information) you gave us is correct and complete. Should another authorized person plan to pick up your child, please notify APEM or inform in writing your child's teacher the day before of the person's identity and date of birth, as we will ask to see a picture ID.
Without a written note from the family or without an ID, children will be kept on the camp premises until picked up by their parent(s). Parents will be responsible for paying late penalties in case of a late pick up.
LATE PICK UP:
Students must be picked up promptly. Students not picked-up within 10 minutes of dismissal will be charged $5 per 5 minutes. The charge will automatically appear on the card you used for summer camp payment.

Additional Information

LUNCH/SNACKS:
All participants must bring their lunch. NUT-CONTAINING FOOD IS FORBIDDEN. A morning snack will be provided but the child can also bring his/her own snack if he/she prefers.
CLOTHING:
For younger children, please provide a change of clothes in a plastic bag labeled with the child's name.
We kindly ask that you send in with each child a larger shirt that will be used as a smock over their clothes for painting sessions. (an old t-shirt of yours or paint smock)
Furthermore, the school policy states that children must wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip flops).
Depending on the activities offered, APEM may request that your child wear appropriate attire. In this case, you will be notified the day before.
VARIOUS SUPPLIES
We will be using recycled materials for some of the crafts activities. If you would like to donate cardboard shoe boxes and toilet paper/paper towel roll tubes for instance, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for dropping off what you have in the morning.

Permision to walk to the park

When the weather permits, we would like to take your child on a neighborhood park. This walk would be
contained in an area limited to two blocks from the summer camp location. By signing this agreement, you are giving APEM permission to take your child on a walk to the park with the other children enrolled in our summer camp.
Please let us know if you choose not to have your child participate in this activity.
