Conditioning attacks one of the fundamental things needed to be able to perform our sport as safely as possible, our fitness. There is no secret, we are throwing other human bodies around throughout the air and catching them from impressive heights safely.
While we have safety equipment to help keep the athletes safe, there is still nothing superior to properly training our athletes and improving their overall fitness. With this in mind we use interval training with a variety of exercises to not only improve
general health but to help simulate routine conditions.

In this class the athletes will be taught how to properly roll forward and backward, hold a handstand, cartwheel, roundoff, front walkover and back walkover. These are the fundamentals of tumbling and must be mastered to be able to reach the upper levels.
Here we begin to master the ever important skill of the back handspring. The athletes should stay in this class until they are comfortable with multiple handsprings. We do not believe a backhandspring is starting to be mastered until the athletes can easily
throw three connected.

This is the level where the kids get excited because we start tucks. We introduce tucks by teaching standing tucks (a level 4 skill) since they are slower and don’t have the energy from the round off and handspring behind them, and therefore require more
effort and mastery from the athlete to perform. They are expected to really learn how to set in this class so expect a lot of conversations about learning how to know where we are in the air after we leave the ground. If we perfect the set here, level four
is much easier to understand. They can expect to learn tucks and punch fronts with enough mastery to incorporate their tumbling from the lower levels.

Here we lay the final bit of ground work for level five. We are attempting to master long elite combos of level four skills incorporating our lower level elements. You can expect to have the form of a layout broken down, introduction to bounder skills,
as well as aggressive standing tumbling combinations. We begin to introduce spinning elements to our athletes who are ready for it in this class as well.

Ninja class is a great class for rambunctious athletes with lots of energy. We will utilize gym equipment in various ways to help develop their body control so that they are able to move their bodies like the typical ninja displayed in today’s modern television.
You can expect to see some tumbling elements like handstands, rolls, back handsprings, punch fronts, and back tucks being taught to various degrees in this class. Most of the skills will be performed from the air track and the tumble track to our crash mats.
