  Creative (K-1) (Grades K-1/Age 5-6) Experience more technique and skill development while having fun improvising and creating. Includes BrainDance, exploring movement concepts, and choreography. Teachers emphasize body awareness (pointing toes, lengthening through the spine, lifting in the center, etc.). Teachers constantly draw attention to these details as dancers create and execute movement in a fun, engaging way—through movement games and activities. Dancers develop more control as they perform locomotor steps, travel throughout the space, and continue to explore and create their own movements.   Mat Pilates (Ages 10+ to adults) A great starting point for beginners, the Essential Matwork class teaches the Five Basic Principles of the STOTT PILATES method and builds a foundation of exercises required to move on to the next level. The training involves modern/contemporary techniques, flexibility, strength, endurance, phrasing, body alignment, professionalism, and fun. Dancers develop a greater sense of performance quality. Dancers have opportunities to explore and create their own movements through improvisation and short compositional activities.
