This is a class for swimmers 5 to 7 years old that have some previous swim experience. Prior to enrollment swimmers should be able to swim 5 to 10 feet on their stomach with a flotation device and kick on their back 5 to 10 feet with a flotation device. In our Big Reds 1b class swimmers will learn to float on their back for 10 seconds, front float for 5 seconds, kick on their back 25 feet, kick on their stomach with rhythmic breathing for 10 feet, swim on their stomach 15 feet and work on water recovery, backstroke 15 feet, and retrieve an object from the bottom of the pool.

This is a transition class for swimmers 5 to 7 years old that are able to swim independently in the water. Prior to enrollment swimmers should be able to swim 15 feet on their stomach and swim 5 to 10 feet on their back. In our Big Reds 2 class swimmers will learn to kick on their back for 25 feet, kick on their stomach with rhythmic breathing for 25 feet, front crawl 25 feet with a small barbell, backstroke for 25 feet, and submerge and retrieve an object from the bottom of the pool. In our Big Reds 2b class swimmers will learn to kick on their back for 37.5 feet, kick on their stomach with rhythmic breathing for 37.5 feet, front crawl for 37.5 feet, backstroke for 37.5 feet, breaststroke kick for 25 feet, and swim 15 feet and submerge underwater to retrieve an object.

In our Great Whites 1a class swimmers will learn to kick on their back for 37.5 feet, kick on their stomach with rhythmic breathing for 37.5 feet, front crawl for 37.5 feet, backstroke for 37.5 feet, breaststroke kick for 25 feet, breaststroke arms for 25 feet, and swim 15 feet and submerge underwater to retrieve an object. In our Great Whites 1b class swimmers will learn to kick on their back for 75 feet, kick on their stomach with rhythmic breathing for 75 feet, backstroke for 75 feet, front crawl for 75 feet, breaststroke kick for 25 feet, breaststroke arms for 25 feet, swim underwater for 10 feet and retrieve an object, and work on treading water.

This is a class for swimmers 8 years and older that know the basic strokes and are looking to build endurance in the water. Prior to enrollment swimmers should be able to swim 75 feet on their back and 75 feet on their stomach. In our Great Whites 2 classes swimmers will learn to do their backstroke for 150 feet, front crawl for 150 feet, breaststroke kick for 37.5 feet, breaststroke arms for 37.5 feet, breaststroke for 25 feet, dolphin kick for 37.5 feet, and work on treading water. In our Great Whites 3 classes swimmers will learn to do their backstroke for 225 feet, front crawl for 225 feet, breaststroke for 150 feet, dolphin kick for 150 feet, butterfly for 37.5 feet, and work on treading water.

This class is for beginning swimmers ages 2 to 4 years old with little or no previous swim experience. Children will learn to move independently with a flotation device, feel comfortable on their back float with instructor assistance, blow bubbles, submerge face, and be able to push off the steps to an instructor. In a Middle Blues 1b class children will learn how to back float with assistance/flotation, front float with assistance/flotation, submerge underwater, introduce rhythmic breathing, swim with flotation (face in water), and slide into water with assistance.

This class is for swimmers 3 to 4 years old that are working to gain more independence in the water. Prior to enrollment children should be able to blow bubbles, submerge underwater completely, and do their back and front floats with minimal assistance. In a Middle Blues 2 class children will learn to back float and return to standing, front float and return to standing, kick on their back 20 feet, get an introduction to backstroke with a flotation device, kick on their stomach with a flotation device, polar bear crawl on stomach at least 12 feet, and slide into the water, recover, and swim to the side. In a Middle Blues 3 classes children will learn to float on their back for 10 seconds, front float for 5 seconds, kick on their back 25 feet, kick on their stomach with rhythmic breathing for 10 feet, swim on their stomach 15 feet and work on water recovery, backstroke 15 feet, and retrieve an object from the bottom of the pool.
