Register (S)BALLET/LYRICAL (Ages 5-8) BALLET/CONTEMP COMBO SUMMER CLASS ~Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms, provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance, help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, barre and center floor work, along with across the floor combinations. ~CONTEMPContemporary dance is interpretive dance that embraces innovation, blending techniques from various genres, including classical ballet, jazz, modern, and lyrical. This genre of dance, which focuses more on floor work over leg work and pointe, isn’t restricted by the rules that govern traditional dance forms.
