Dancers will learn with the safety of mats (at first) how to do basic to intermediate tumbling and acro that eventually can performed without mats and can be put in group pieces, solos or duets! This class is required for all level I/II company dancers unless they are in gymanstics currently or pointe! This class is non-performing. This is the first time we will meet as a company for the 24-25 dance season! This intensive is to learn how to keep our bodies in shape as dancers (especially over summer break) We will not be learning any one style in particular but doing skills, conditioning, stretching to help with all dance styles. Each dancer will come away from this 4 day intesive with a checklist of skills to use to keep in shape over the summer so they can start the dance year strong. Since this is a 2 hour a day intensive dancers need to bring water bottles and a healthy/protein based snack. Dancers do not need to wear leotard and tights but do need to wear clothes that they can be seen/corrected in. (short/tanks,etc) Weather permitting we may be doing some exercises outside so dancers should have good fitting tennis shoes!!!
