Register Acro Acrobatic dance, also known as Acro, is centered on fundamental acrobatic technique to increase flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, timing, body awareness, self-discipline, and confidence. We teach our acro classes based on the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus which is a 12 level syllabus that is designed to take dancers from the basics of log rolls and somersaults to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage. Register Hip Hop 1 This upbeat, energetic class gives dancers freedom to move and grove and grow strong and confident in a structured class setting to today's latest music. Register Ballet 1 Students ages 9+ begin their ballet journey here with class etiquette and the fundamentals of ballet. Register Tap/Jazz 1 This class will be a combination of tap and jazz technique. Tap class is designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. In Jazz class, dancers will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Register Ballet 2 Students are invited to Ballet Level 2 after they have demonstrated full understanding of the previous level. Body alignment and muscle awareness will determine progress. Register Open Contemp A deeper dive into fluid lyrical movement mixed with the intricacy and improvisation of conemporary movement with basic techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. It emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics while telling a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate. Students must take this class in conjunction with ballet.
