A Positive Note (Ages 14 - Adult) A Positive Note meets every weekend to sing, move, dance, and explore music and theater in an accessible and joyful way! APN is a study in basic music theory and instrument exploration for students with special needs. The foundation of APN is Recreational Music Making (RMM), which refers to playing musical instruments alone or in a group without the pressure of mastery or performance. The experience of making music is the only objective. Students are introduced to drums, keyboards, ukuleles, and other instruments in an accessible, enjoyable way, promoting social, cognitive, and creative engagement. Join us as we learn a deeper appreciation for music as an inclusive community! Sat 10:30am-12:00pm 25 08/25/2025 12/12/2025 75.00
Register APN: Let's Put on a Show- Songs from Frozen! APN invites students with any form of disability, ages 14–35, to join us for an unforgettable week of musical theater as we perform scenes and songs from Disney’s Frozen! Over five days, participants will develop singing, dancing, and acting skills while exploring the joy of performing on stage. Supported by mentors who understand the different needs (and opportunities) that intellectual and physical disabilities present, we will help your student build self-confidence, working as a team to create a theatrical experience that celebrates what is unique about all of us. We also welcome CSC Middle and high school theater students who will partner with our APN actors to support them in learning lines, lyrics, and choreography. Volunteers can contact Dayna Cooper or Nathan Halvorson directly via email to get involved.
