Payton is a dedicated voice student with current teaching techniques that align with the constantly changing vocal industry. In her 5th year of teaching voice, she has a unique ability to healthily grow young voices, while students improve leaps and bounds!
Remote voice lessons are a wonderful and convenient option for any level of singer. Whether you are looking to improve your already established instrument, or you want to try singing for the very first time, this is the place to grow!
There will be an in person voice recital toward the end of the school year. More information will be communicated to individual students.

Students ages 7-15, Come spring into adventure with CAPA as we bring the woods to life in Wind in the Willows Jr. Directed by Tanya Quinn. Rehearsals begin 1/6/25 at Pine Spring Preparatory Academy, Holly Springs. Rehearsals 6-8:30pm every Monday. No CONFLICTS accepted for Super Saturday and Tech Week Rehearsals held 3/15, 17-19. Shows 3/20-22. Auditions held 1/4 with a Mandatory Parent meeting at 10am. No experience is necessary. All who enroll will be placed in the show.
Tuition will be divided into 4 monthly payments due the 10th of each month. $25 yearly registration fee per family will be applied to all new families. Costume and show shirt fee of $75 is due February 1st. Families are asked to volunteer 5 hours per child or may pay an opt out fee of $100 per child.

COMMERCIAL ACTING (Beginners to Advanced, Ages 10+ to Adults. Min. 6 students, Max. 14)
Whether you're a beginner or aiming to refine your craft, this course will take your commercial acting skills to the next level. Stand out in auditions by embracing your “type” and strengthening your improv, script analysis, and character-building expertise. Learn the nuances of each type of commercial and develop the confidence and skill set to navigate them. Grow your commercial acting technique through on-camera exercises, discussions and feedback. Gain knowledge of industry standards for headshots, resumes and the how-to’s of self-taping. This class will prepare you to tackle commercial acting from auditions, to bookings, to shooting!

Through exercises, games, improvisation, individual and partner scene work, students will begin to develop the foundations of strong acting using principles of acting including objective, given circumstances, motivation, stakes, tactics and more. Students study fundamentals including blocking, story arc, character development and sensory awareness with an exploration of audition technique and the nuances of acting for stage and acting for film. This class prepares students for more advanced acting classes including the Advanced Actors Workshop and film acting classes. Students have opportunities, through improv, monologues, partner and group scene work, to perform for each other as well as for guests in a class showcase, on 05/14/25 on the final week.

This is unlike any film acting class you’ve ever taken before. Students will learn how to create truthful, grounded, cinematic performances, through actor preparation, script analysis, character work, and developing an understanding of the unique role that the camera plays in the process. Explore how emotions translate into the film frame and the effectiveness of simplicity, patience, listening, subtlety, vulnerability, stillness, elegance, opposites, and using your imagination to create powerful performances. This course will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to create memorable self-tape auditions that result in bookings, and prepare actors to thrive on-set. Through transformative on-camera exercises, scene work, discussions, filming and feedback, class members will grow in technique and confidence, as they learn what it means to truly become cinematic.
