Let’s put on a show! In this 8-day camp, students will work together with their directors to prepare Matilda Jr. from audition to performance. This camp is perfect for students new to musical theatre or students looking for a summer performance opportunity! Directors will walk students through auditioning, learning music, blocking and preparing scenes, and practicing choreography for their performance on the final day of camp. Performance title to be announced! Open to rising 3rd-9th graders.

Calling all Visual Artists! Spend a week immersed in the art studio! DFW-area art instructors work with students to explore a variety of mediums and techniques in this 5-day camp. This camp encourages students to build their art portfolios, develop new skills, and get lost in their creativity. Students are divided by age and will work with 2 teachers per day to experience variety in their instruction. At the end of the week, we invite parents to enjoy a showing of their students’ work. Open to rising 5th-8th graders and rising 9th-12th graders
Please note: This camp is intended for students highly interested in visual art. They will be sitting or standing at a table for most of the day. Please consider your student’s attention span and interest when enrolling in this camp.

Continuing the focus on classical and contemporary ballet techniques, students develop skills working in or toward pointe shoes. Class will begin with barre and approved students will work at barre en pointe. Pre-pointe students will participate in the same exercises in balllet flats, with a focus toward strengthening ankles and feet in preparation for pointe. Class will continue to center and across the floor exercise. Pointe students will be given the opportunity to continue their class en pointe.
Students taking this class are strongly encouraged to also enroll in the Tuesday Ballet class at FWAFA.
*Students that are not already en pointe will be approved by instructor and set up a time for a pointe shoe fitting with the instructor.

We invite DFW dancers (rising grades 8-12 and incoming first year college students) to participate in the first annual Fort Worth Summer Choreography Project! Spend the week dancing and creating new choreography with your peers. Interested students can apply to be a student choreographer and receive approximately 18 hours of rehearsal time to create a dance for participating students. Each day choreographers and dancers will show what they’ve made to staff and fellow dancers and choreographers for feedback and workshopping. On the final day, guest adjudicators will view students' final works or works in progress and provide feedback for choreographic and performance growth.
