Register Fall Turns and Leaps Level 3-5 Say hello to Baylee who can turn for days my friends. You will absolutely fall in love with her and utterly amazed at her talent in turn and leaps. The Turns and Leaps class focuses on breaking down the foundational elements of these two essential technical movements. Students will fine-tune their technique in order to master a variety of turns and leaps commonly used in jazz and choreography. Great emphasis is placed on developing control through the body's center, the origin point of all movement. This focus enables dancers to maintain balance and precision while executing turns, high extensions, and powerful leaps. In addition, spotting techniques will be studied to help dancers properly execute various turns and minimize the disorienting effects of repeated rotations. Register Fall Ballet Level 6 Pointe Level 6 is an hour and a half-long ballet class that emphasizes correct placement, coordination, flexibility, and strength. Students will take class en pointe, and will work all Level 5 curriculum in pointe shoes. Students will build strong ankle strength and stability, and will get comfortable in their pointe shoes. Students in Level 6 will participate in more complicated technique, with complex coordination, more reps, and increase in speed. Students will be expected to know proper ballet terminology, including the French name and the English translation. Students are expected to be quiet, focused, and respectful to the teacher. By the end of the year, students will be able to execute all advanced ballet steps cleanly on pointe, and will have strong coordination, artistic expression, and flexibility.
