Troupe Broadway is a musical theatre course that culminates in a production in the spring. In this class students will learn the basics of theatre as well as character development, vocal performance, and dance. This particular opportunity is designed for students living with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities to perform a fully staged musical theatre production. Students will work together to learn songs, scenes, and choreography from a musical while enjoying daily activities like acting games and group outings to improve confidence and assist in developing social skills. ATA allows musical theatre to be accessible to performers of all ages and abilities in a safe and supportive environment.

A Midsummer Night's Dream is a comedy play written by William Shakespeare in about 1595 or 1596. The play is set in Athens, and consists of several subplots that revolve around the marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta. One subplot involves a conflict among four Athenian lovers. Another follows a group of six amateur actors rehearsing the play which they are to perform before the wedding. Both groups find themselves in a forest inhabited by fairies who manipulate the humans and are engaged in their own domestic intrigue. A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare's most popular and widely performed plays, and the first play to be performed by SPAA.

Magic Tree House: The Knight at Dawn KIDS is an adaptation of the second of Mary Pope Osborne's award-winning fantasy adventure books from the Magic Tree House book series, which has sold more than 100 million copies and is available in more than 100 countries around the world.
This time around, Jack and Annie’s tree house takes them to an age of knights in shining armor, where the two discover the power of hope and the true meaning of gallantry, experiencing a grand medieval feast, escaping through secret tunnels and dancing with enchanted suits of armor, all in an effort to find their way back home.

In this upper level class, your student will expand their knowledge of Improv and learn how to create and structure a full improv show! This class will feature monthly performances during class time where students can show off their skills in both short form and long form performance. NOTE: Admission into this class is by audition only. Students must participate in the audition being held on Wednesday November 20, 2024 from 7:30-8:20pm, and will be subject to instructor approval before being allowed into the class. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above.
