In this class, dancers will engage in the structure and etiquette of a traditional ballet class. It will provide a foundational knowledge of terminology and will focus on the foundational instruction of proper placement all while enhancing musical awareness. Students will also engage in lyrical dance, which combines techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. Students will explore how lyrical dance emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract.
