YOUTH WORKSHOP - Grades Kinder - 2nd - Join us again this spring for the themed musical adventure journey, "Heroes v. Villains," culminating in a performance on December 13th & 14th. All workshops will teach songs and a script to help weave together an adventurous tale perfect for the whole family!
For those looking for more opportunities to perform on stage – this is it! All workshops have 8 weeks of instruction and include 2 produced performances on the Historic Woodland Opera House Stage. All workshops are taught by teaching artists on the Woodland Opera House staff and will teach musical theatre vocal technique, acting mechanics, character development, choreography, and everything that goes into performing a musical theatre piece!
SHOWCASE REHEARSAL: Saturday, December 13th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
SHOWCASE PERFORMANCES: Saturday, December 13th at 2 pm and Sunday, December 14th at 2 pm.

Summer Teen Musical Theatre Audition Workshop - Whether it’s your very first audition or your fiftieth, this workshop will give you the tools to walk into the room feeling confident, prepared, and ready to shine.
Led by, Shilah Walters, a professional teaching artist with a BA from CSU Chico and advanced training from New York’s renowned Stella Adler Studio, this five-week intensive covers every facet of the audition process—from song selection and acting the song, to cold reads, movement combos, callback prep, and handling those audition room jitters. Perfectly timed for students preparing to audition for Beetlejuice JR (Rising Stars) or Newsies JR (JTF Troupe), this course is designed to support both new and experienced performers in showcasing their strongest selves.
Space is limited to allow for personalized feedback and coaching. Runs June 28th through July 26th, Saturdays, 10 am to 11:30 am. $130, ages 11 through 17 years old.

NEW! Advanced Musical Theatre Workshop - Ages 14 to 17 years old. This workshop is designed for experienced teen performers ready to push their skills to the next level. Students will explore advanced vocal storytelling, character development, and performance technique in a fast-paced, focused environment. This class is ideal for those looking to deepen their understanding of musical theatre and prepare for more competitive audition opportunities.
