In this expressive class, children develop coordination, musicality, and creative thinking while beginning to learn foundational ballet vocabulary. This class encourages focus and participation, preparing students for the next level of ballet. Sequential memory, spatial awareness, and counting are emphasized.

Boys attire: white T-shirt and black shorts, black ballet shoes
Girls attire: pink leotards, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and hair in a bun

Parents are invited to watch during Observation Week and the last class of the session. For all other classes, parents are asked to wait in the designated waiting room.

Dance and visual art join forces in this unique collaboration between two of South Bend's cultural gems: Southold Dance Theater and the South Bend Museum of Art. Join us as we investigate the connections between movement and art-making. Campers will learn the fundamentals of dance and action-art. We will be exploring the fun ways of moving while making art with everyday objects. The week will be filled with surprises and concludes with an informal mini-performance and art exhibit for family and friends.

**This camp takes place at Southold Dance Theater each day except Thursday, when camp will be held at the South Bend Museum of Art!

Attire: Comfortable dance clothes
Students should bring a snack and/or lunch with a water bottle each day.

The week concludes with an informal mini-performance for family and friends.
